Тема: Еда и напитки.

Цель:- ознакомить учащихся с новым лексическим материалом и ввести его в устную и

письменную речь;

- развивать и усовершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию в

диалогической и монологической речи;

- активизировать использование изучаемой грамматики (countable/uncountable

nouns/quantifiers);

- усовершенствовать навыки устной речи, аудирования, чтения и письма;

-углубить знания учащихся по теме «Food and drink» о полезной и вредной еде,

ознакомить учащихся с традиционной британской кухней;

- развивать языковую смекалку и реакцию, используя элементы драматизации и

игры;

- воспитывать культуру общения, осознание необходимости изучать иностранный

язык.

Оборудование: аудиоресурсы, ТСО, раздаточный демонстрационный материал, видеоматериал, задания, дидактический материал.

I Greeting.

Good morning everybody! I`m glad to see you happy and healthy in our class. Do you know that healthy and long life depends on healthy food? How to eat well and be happy, good looking and thin? We`ll try to answer all these questions today. I hope you are fine and will be active and energetic at our lesson.

II. Introduction the topic of the lesson

T: Today`s lesson will be devoted to food, glorious food. Look at the board. There you can find the English proverb: “Live not to eat but eat to live”. We have a lot of food to eat and to enjoy. So, the topic of our today’s lesson is “Food And Drinks”

III. Warming up

Let`s play a game “Echoes”

Game “Echoes”

T: Are you ready?

Ps: Ready!

T: Are you feeling fine?

Ps: Fine.

T: Is the weather good?

Ps: Good!

T: Is everything OK?

Ps: OK!

T: Great! I see that you’re ready for the lesson. So, answer my question: What is your favourite food?

Ps: My favourite food is… (cake, chocolate, chips)

III. New material.

  1. Open your books on page 86. Look at the picture. There are the names of the food. But there are also the missing letters. Let`s try to guess what letters they are. (Children look at the pictures and the words and share their ideas than they go to the board and complete to words with the correct letters ). Spell the words.

  2. Listen and check, then repeat. (Exercise №1 p 86)

Listen to the audio and repeat the words. (Children repeat the words).

  1. Answer the questions.

-What is there in your fridge? (3-4 pupils).

(There are… There is…)

  1. a) Guess, what food is it? (Teacher describes the food, pupils say what food is described)

  1. It is made of milk and it`s very cold and icy. It can be chocolate, fruit or vanilla. (ice-cream).

  2. It`s a long orange vegetable that grows in the ground. (a carrot)

  3. It`s a round vegetable of red, orange or green colour. We put this vegetable into the salad together with the cucumbers (a tomato).

  4. It`s neither fruit nor vegetable. It`s oval and white. Birds lay it. (egg)

  5. It`s a white drink. Cows give it. (Milk)

  6. It`s a hard sore milk products . Usually it’s yellow. (cheese).

  7. It`s a tasty baked food, made off eggs, sugar, flour and children like it a lot. (Biscuit)

  8. It`s very yummy food. Bees make it. (Honey).

b) Now you tell about the food from the picture on p 86, but don`t name it. We`ll try to guess what foot you`re describing.

5. New Grammar: Countable and uncountable nouns.

1) T: There are some things that we can count . Such nouns are called countable. (Write on the board the word «COUNTABLE»). What can we count? (Children share their ideas).

T: Good. But there are also nouns that we cannot count. Such nouns are called uncountable.

(write on the board the word “Uncountable”) what can`t we count? (children answer).

2) –Return to our books. Look at the picture with food and saw if this food is countable or uncountable.

Ps: Fish is uncountable. Cake is countable. (Pupils say and write the food into the correct column on the board).

3) Ball-game. (Throw the ball to the pupils and say if the food. Pupils return the ball and say if the food is countable or not).

T: -Catch the ball and say quickly if the food is countable.

6. New grammar: Quantifiers (some, any, few, little, much, many, a lot of)

1) T: Look at ex 3 p 86. Here you can see the sentences. Read them.

Ps: (pupils read the sentences)

- To make this dish you need some tomatoes, an egg, and some olive oil.

T: Can we count tomatoes?

Ps: Yes, we can.

T: Do we know exactly how many tomatoes we need?

Ps: No, we don’t.

T: If we don’t know the exact number of tomatoes, we say SOME.

T: Can we count olive oil?

Ps: No, we can’t.

T: If we can’t count something, we use SOME.

T: is this sentence affirmative or negative?

Ps: It’s affirmative.

(Teacher and the pupils continue to analyze the next sentences)

T: Good. And look at the grammar rule on p 86. Read this rule.

2) Work in pairs

T: Where do you buy the food?

Ps: In the market, in the supermarket.

T: We are going to the market to buy some food. Make up the dialogue “In the Market”

Assistant: Good morning. Can I help you?

Customer: I’d like some eggs.

Assistant: How many?

Customer: 7 please.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: Yes, I’d like some sugar.

Assistant: How much?

Customer: A kilo of sugar, please.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: No, thank you.

Assistant: 100 rubles.

Customer: Here you are. Good bye.

Dialogue 2

Assistant: Good morning. Can I help you?

Customer: I’d like some apples.

Assistant: How many?

Customer: 10 please.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: Yes, I’d like some milk.

Assistant: How much?

Customer: A bottle of milk, please.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: No, thank you.

Assistant: 120 rubles.

Customer: Here you are. Good bye.

Assistant: Good morning. Can I help you?

Customer: I’d like some tomatoes.

Assistant: How many?

Customer: I don’t know. Can I have few tomatoes?

Assistant: Is 3 tomatoes enough?

Customer: Yes.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: Yes, I’d like some rice.

Assistant: How much?

Customer: A bag of rice, please.

Assistant: Anything else?

Customer: No, thank you.

Assistant: 110 rubles.

Customer: Here you are. Good bye.

T: Look at the video and answer the questions. Read the questions.

8. Reading

T: Let’s read the text and match the headings to the paragraphs. How many type of food/drinks shown in the picture in ex 1 can you find in the text?

9. Summarizing.

Our lesson is over. During this lesson we talked about the food, studied the new grammar and made up the dialogues. Now let’s write the homework.
