«Хэллоуин»

Предмет – английский язык.

Класс - 5 класс.

Учитель: Ахмедова Хадижат Абдужалиловна – учитель английского языка МКОУ «СОШ №4» г. Южно-Сухокумск Республики Дагестан.

Цели урока:

Практические:

развитие умения аудирования;

активизация лексики по теме “Праздники”;

развитие говорения (умения сообщать, объяснять, рассказывать);

развитие навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в команде.

Образовательные:

приобретение знаний об истории и традициях Великобритании, связанных с праздником “Хэллоуин”;

Воспитательные:

воспитание положительного отношения к культуре народа изучаемого языка;

Развивающие:

развитие творческих способностей учащихся;

развитие умения общаться, а также таких черт характера как трудолюбие, целеустремленность, активность.

Задачи:

провести практику речевой деятельности, активизировать лексику на тему “Halloween”, дать знания страноведческого характера;

повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению иностранного языка;

развить творческую фантазию и инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности, а также развития познавательных интересов учащихся;

воспитывать у учащихся чувство уважения к истории и культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Формы организации учебной деятельности:

коллективная, индивидуальная.

Оборудование:

интерактивная доска, мультимедийный проектор, раздаточный материал, презентации MS PowerPoint, видеоклип на песню Marilyn Manson “This is Halloween”

I. Введение в праздничную атмосферу

T: Good afternoon to you. Welcome to our Halloween party! Today is the 29^th of October. In 2 days, on the 31^st of October people in the USA, Great Britain and some other countries will celebrate a wonderful holiday – Halloween. Ghosts and witches are free and you can expect to meet them. In Britain it is a day for fun. There are always a lot of parties that night. Some people wear masks, others dress as ghosts and witches. Everybody is happy. At the parties both adults and children have fun, they play different merry games. Why don’t we have a funny party today too? Don't be afraid if you see ghosts, goblins and black cats at our party.

You’re divided into two commands: Witches and Vampires

“Combine sentences”

1. Halloween means a “ holy evening” and takes place on the 31st of October.

2. Many centuries ago people thought that Halloween was the night when the witches and other evil spirits came out.

3. Nowadays, at parties people dress up in funny costumes and pretend they are witches, ghosts, devils, goblins, vampires, black cats, spiders, bats and monsters.

4. They cut horrible faces in pumpkins and put a candle inside, which shines through the eyes.

5. In the evening children go from house to house, knock on the doors and say “Trick or Treat. 6. If people don’t give children a “treat”, they play a trick on them, such as making a lot of noise.

7. Jack was a man who couldn’t enter neither heaven nor hell.

2. I’ve got a black cat and a big pointed hat. Who am I? (Witch)

3. I’m scary and white. I come out at night. Who am I? (Ghost)
4. I’m round on all sides. I’ve got a light inside. Who am I? (Jack-o-lantern)
5. I’ve got soft black fur. When you hold me I purr. Who am I? (black cat)
6. I’m yellow or white. I smile on Halloween night. Who am I? (Moon)

VI.“Who is who?”

T: There’re 4 witches. Their names are Abra, Wabra, Dabra and Cadabra. Guess who is who. Use the clues below.

VII.“Proverbs”

(3 мин.) Dabra hasn’t got a broom. 2. Wabra hasn’t got a big hat. 3. Dabra and Abra haven’t got long noses. 4. The fat witch isn’t Cadabra. 5. Abra isn’t standing next to Wabra.
