Giving information about the first president of the USA and Walt Disney. Making pupils to speak about famous people of the USA.
Upbringing the interest to foreign language study, culture of communication, such moral qualities as a partnership, mutual assistance.
Developing students’ reading skills, answering the questions and oral speech.

George Washington’s early childhood
George Washington was the first President of the United States of America and a political leader. He was born on February 22, 1732 in the state of Virginia. His grandfather came from England. They lived near the Potomac River. The Potomac River is not far from Washington D.C. He didn’t go to school. He studied Mathematics, Geography, Latin and English at home.
Walt Disney
Walt Disney lived on a farm and he liked sketching the animals around him. He created Mickey Mouse in 1928 and Donald Duck in 1934. These became the world’s favorite cartoon characters. Then he started making cartoons. His film company made children’s films with real actors. In 1954 Walt Disney opened Disneyland, the huge amusement park in California.
