Negative personality types
Тип урока: обобщение и закрепление нового материала, ознакомление с новыми лексическими единицами
Цели урока: знакомство с негативными типами личностей и видов поведения с ними.
Личностные: формирование мотивации к творческому труду.
Метапредметные: овладение умением пользоваться наглядными средствами предъявления языкового материала.
Предметные: формирование активного и пассивного лексического запаса по теме: «Negative personality types»
Задачи урока:
совершенствовать произносительные навыки;
обогатить и усложнить словарный запас учащихся;
обучить поисковому чтению;
закрепить лексику по теме “Negative personality types”;
сформировать навыки работы с тестовыми заданиями;
усовершенствовать речевые умения;
уметь понимать на слух высказывания по теме.
Ход урока
Приветствие
Teacher: Good afternoon, class! I am glad to see you all today. You may take your seats.
Students: Good afternoon, teacher! We are glad to see you, too.
Речевая зарядка
Teacher: What is the date today? (writes it on the blackboard) What day of the week is it today? What is the weather like today? When is your birthday, Alim? What is your favorite color, Amina?
Students answer the questions.

Teacher: Do you think all the people on this beautiful planet are good people? People with positive personality types?
Students: No no
Teacher: Neither do I. If one half of people is people with positive personality types, the other half is people with what kind of personality types opposite to positive???
Students: Negative personality types.
Teacher: Right! And today we are going to talk about them and ways how to deal with them. So, by the end of this lesson we will be able to tell what kind of personality type someone belongs to and how to deal with him.

Teacher: Ok, students, lets get acquainted with different negative personality types . Look at the blackboard, repeat the words after me and try to guess the meaning.
Students repeat the words after the teacher and try to guess the personality type.
Teacher: In ex 1, p. 110 in the left column you are given types of people and In the right one their mixed definitions. Your task is to match the types of people to their definitions.
Students do the task.
Teacher: Now I want you to make sentences with them . I will start with myself! I have a cousin brother. His name is Ruslan. He is a know-it-all person. He thinks he knows more than others. Teacher writes the example on the blackboard.
I have a cousin\brother\sister\friend\neighbour…. His\her name is_______He\she _________(definition)
Students do the task.

Teacher: Ok, before we read the text, let’s learn some new words. (The teacher reads the words out and students try to guess the meaning) Now tell me, what’s the English for…(the teacher says words in Russian, students say them in English)
Students give the English equivalents.
Teacher: Now, let’s look at the pictures in the text. What type is each person in them? How can we deal with them?
Students give their answers.

Teacher: Ok, now let’s read the text and see whether you are right or not.
Students read the text .
Teacher: Now , students, look at the ex 3a). Lets see how well you’ve understood the text.. Your task is for questions 1-15 to choose from the people A-F.

Teacher: What do you think the author wanted to say? What is his message?
Students tell the class their guesses.
Рефлексия
Teacher: Now tell me, please, what kind of people you hate and how to deal with them?
Students give their answers.
Teacher: Now let’s see how well you remembered the personality types. The teacher shows pictures.
Students name the personality type the picture describes.
Teacher: Ok, let’s have some fun. Now I am going to hand you out a personality test and we’ll see what kind of person you are and what your strong and weak features are!
Students do the psychological test and see the results on the back side of their sheets of paper.

Students answer the questions.
Teacher gives the home task and announces the marks.
