Vincent Van Gogh was an outstanding post-impressionist  painter of the I9th century. His work had a great influence on modern art because of (из-за) its striking colors and emotional power(сила). Before becoming a painter, he was a teacher and an art dealer. Than he began drawing the people, and in 1885, he painted his first important work, “The Potato Eaters”. He usually painted in dark colors at this time. In 1886 he went to Paris where he met Pissarro and Monet. This helped the colors of his paintings lighten and be painted in short strokes of paintbrush.

Nobody has ever (никто не) painted sunflowers like Van Gogh. His paintings are full of color and sunlight. Sometimes the trees look like fire. The sun, the moon, and stars move rapidly (двигаются быстро)in the sky. Today his paintings are worth millions of pounds but in his lifetime he only sold one. Like his life, his art was always unusual and very emotional. His most famous works are “The Starry Night”, “Irises”, “Sunflowers”, “Bedroom in Arles”.

Pablo Picasso  was a Spanish painter and sculptor. He created (создал) over 20,000 images.

He is considered(считается) one of the greatest художник of the 20th century. He is known as the co-founder of  кубизм. In cubism objects are shown in geometric forms, objects are cut into many плоские фигуры, which look like a puzzle. Perhaps his most famous шедевр is “Guernica”, which shows the horrors of war after the bombing of the town of Guernica. Among(среди)other works are “Girl Balancing on a Ball”, “The Soup”.

He was 90 years old when a number of his works were shown in an выставка at the Louvre in Paris. He was the first living artist to have an exhibition at the Louvre.

Andy Warhol is a popular American artist, producer, designer, writer, collector, publisher of magazines, film director, notable person(видная фигура) in the history of pop art movement and contemporary art.

Andy's art career started as a designer in various (различные) magazines, including Vogue. Fame (слава) came to him after the presentation of the picture with Coca-Cola jars(банки). The most popular works are the portraits of Mao Zedong and Marilyn Monroe in pop-art style. His paintings are still highly valued (высоко ценятся) by fans of the eccentric painting. In 2012, Andy Warhol had got the status of the auction sales leader(). He surpassed(обошел) the main competitors - Van Gogh and Picasso.

He was an extraordinary man who has founded a magazine (The Interview), only to go to movie premieres (премьеры фильмов). One of the events (событий), arranged by the artist was a public car painting BMW. Warhol painted the car in yellow and red colors in 23 minutes.
