Тема: Laughter
Цели:
Обучающая: развитие навыков коммуникативной компетенции по видам речевой деятельности, навыков аудирования. Активизирование лексики по теме "Laughter". Обучение использованию рекомендации для чтения с контролем понимания в виде выбора пропущенного параграфа в тексте (задание по типу ЕГЭ). Развитие умения извлекать необходимую информацию.
Образовательная: знакомство с известными людьми в области юмора. Использование приемов исследовательской деятельности, включая анкетирование, анализ и сравнение исследуемой информации.
Воспитательная: содействие повышению интереса и мотивации к изучению иностранного языка. Побуждение группы учащихся с ярко выраженной мотивацией к изучению языка, совершенствованию своего уровня владения языком во всех видах речевой деятельности. Содействие воспитанию эстетического вкуса, чувства юмора у учащихся, создание условия для воспитания положительных эмоций в их повседневной жизни.

6 Анкетирование: учащиеся комментируют результаты опроса среди
одноклассников на тему Do we like to laugh?. Работа в группе. 5 мин
7 Чтение текста Why laughter is the best medicine: анализ содержания, разбор
процедуры выполнения задания по типу ЕГЭ, выполнение задания. Работа в
парах 8 мин.
8 домашнее задание: ответить на вопросы, используя пройденную на уроке

Good morning! I’m glad to see you! By the way, guess my riddle: In what month do people laugh the least? February, because this is the shortest month of the year.
Look at the quotes on the blackboard. Which of them do you think the funniest and why?

As you guessed the topic of our lesson is ”Humour and laughter” and we’re going to speak about types of laughter and its role in our life.

1. You can burst out laughing…at the concert of famous comedians.
2 You can cackle ... when you want to make fun of somebody you don’t like.
3. You can chuckle…when you read some funny story, anecdote or joke.
4. You can fall about laughing... when we watch a humour TV programme.
5. You can giggle ...when you listen to your friend.
Now mach the types of laughter with their deffinitions.

a) For the last question many of you said that laughter can be used as medicine. Some doctors agreed with you. Let us read the text “Why laughter is the best medicine” and answer this question.
It improves not only the state of your mind, but affects your entire physical being. Laughter has a similiar effect to physical exercise. It speeds up the heart rate, increases blood presure and quickens breathing. It can even provide a kind of pain relief.
b) Some sentences have been removed from this article. Decide in which numbered gap each one should go. There is one extra sentence which you don’t need to use. But before we’ll do it let us look into details the procedure of this task type. You will be given some advice. Put these items in the right order.
Read the text once to make sure that you have a good general idea of what it is about.
Look at the senteces that have been removed and try to get an idea of the subject of each one.
Look at the each gap in the text in turn, at the sentence before it and at the sentence after it. In your mind, try putting in the most likely missing sentence.
Decide on one sentence for each gap.

3 Do any of your friends make you laugh a lot? Why?
4 Do you think if laughter can be used as a medicine? Why? Why not?
