Marketing and logistics: concept, goals and objectives
Marketing refers to the concept of managing the production and sale of goods, which is focused on demand.
Logistics is also a concept of managing material, information and other flows, which is focused on the effective use of the company's resources and potential for the physical movement of products inside and outside the enterprise in order to meet the needs of consumers in transport and supply services.
Marketing and logistics: concept, goals and objectives
Marketing tasks:
- study and analysis of consumers and products of the company;
- analysis and forecasting of the state and development of markets;
- participation in strategic and tactical planning of the company's activities;
- development of new products or services;
- evaluation of competitors ' activities;
- development of product range; development of price strategies;
- marketing communications;
- sale of goods and services of the organization;
- Implementation of post-sale service.
Private or local logistics tasks:
- reduction of product storage time (reduction of warehouse costs and increase in product sales);
- reduction of transportation time (reduction of transport costs and fast delivery to the consumer);
- optimal distribution of vehicles;
- rapid response to consumer requests;
- prompt processing and presentation of information.

Marketing is aimed at studying the market, advertising, psychological impact on the buyer, and so on. Logistics is primarily focused on the formation of systems for conducting materials along commodity distribution chains, as well as systems for monitoring their movement.
Features of the relationship between marketing and logistics
Logistics is in urgent need of applying marketing approaches and technologies. In marketing, logistics directs the company's activities to reduce the total costs that occur during the movement and storage of inventory items from the selection of a supplier to after-sales service.
Features of the relationship between marketing and logistics.
General characteristics of logistics and marketing:

- interdisciplinary Sciences;
- mode of action, combined functions of economic systems;
- the principle of complexity and synchronicity;

The marketing mix includes 4P:
- Product (product that meets the needs
- of the end user);
- Price (product price and pricing
- policy);

- Promotion (product promotion).
The logistics complex includes seven
elements:
- Right product (need the product intended for
- distribution);
- Right guantity (the right amount of product);
- Right condition (quality product);
- Right place (need a specific place or product
- distribution);
- Right time (the right time to work with the
- product);
- Right of customer (the presence of the desired
- consumer product);
- Right cost (calculated costs for working with
- the product).

Marketing logistics is the activity of managing material, information and other flows in the company as they move from the manufacturer to the consumer, focused on meeting their needs.

The main functions of marketing logistics:

- inventory management.
