Look at the board and say what the theme of the lesson. (there are different pictures of food on the board) Today we are going to strengthen our vocabulary, our knowledge on the theme “Food and drinks”. Also you will tell what there is in the fridge or on the table. We will make dialogues “In the cafe” or “At the supermarket”.
Let's begin our lesson from the greeting each other and wishing good. “I wish you....”
Now let's divide into four groups. I will give you T – shirts of four colours (red, yellow, green, blue), put them on and divide into groups. Group 1 “Apples” - red T – shirts. Group 2 “Grapes” - blue ones. Group 3 “Lemons” - yellow T-shirts and group 4 “Pears” - green T – shirts.
Our lesson is not simple one. Our lesson will be a competition lesson. Teacher presents the jury.
The first competition is “How do you know words?” . Your assignment is to match english words with their russian equivalents. Your time is 3 minutes.
The second competition is “How do you know grammar?”. Your assignment is put “is” or “are” into the sentences. Time – 3 minutes
Teacher gives cards with assignments to groups. Time – 3 minutes
It's time to rest and dance as you work very hard.
Next assignment is drawing of the poster.
Your time is 7 minutes. Take cards with the theme of the poster.
Give stickers to pupils and ask them to write their attitude to the lesson.

Jury announces the result of the competition.
Teacher makes a conclusion of the lesson drawing pupils' attention to the harvest of apples in the basket which they gathered at the lesson.
Teacher puts marks to the pupils.

“Our theme is food and drinks. Or fruit, vegetables” and so on.
Pupils make a circle and say wishes. “I wish you wealth. I wish you health. I wish you good holidays and so on”. At the end they say “We are friends”
Chidren take T – shirts and put them on then they divide into four groups.
Pupils match the words and glue them on the posters.
Then groups present their work.
Pupils put verbs and read the sentences.
Groups prepare for the dialogues.
Groups present their dialogues.
Children dance and sing.
Pupils choose the card and draw posters. After that they protect their posters using constructions “there is/ are”, “I like.. / I don't like...”, “We need.../ We don't need...”
Children write their thoughts and glue stickers to the basket.
