OTHER MATERIAL: whiteboard, marker, pictures, flashcards. INTRODUCTION: 1- Brief revision of the topic related rain or shine orally. Then The students have to take out the flash cards which they downloaded from this . I am going to play this song on the smart board. The students have to raise the card they listen to. Objectives: by the end of the lesson, the students: will be able to describe what the weather is like outside, using the three main elements as their guide, with words and pictures will be able to ask and answer questions about what the weather is like. will be able to name the clothes needed to be worn in each season write a report about the weather in specific countries. develop their observing, recording, and predicting skills by telling, writing, or drawing about the weather conditions. ompare daily weather conditions to understand that weather changes TECHNOLOGY OBJECTIVES: The students (in pairs) will be able to work on to search for certain information about the weaher , the 4 seasons , the clothes which should someone wear, then share the information together and at last publish these information in the class website. At the end of the lesson the students will be able to : - use search engines to find information. - use some website as a source for information. - assess themselves online - assess each other by reading other students shares and writing comment on them These objectives can be achieved through answering these questions: 1. What name are the 4 seasons? 2. What are the 4 seasons famous for? 3. What clothes should be worn in each season. 4. What are the seasons' months? 5- How can we describe the daily weather? PROCEDURES: Steps of the presentation of lesson Pre reading tasks: - I play this video which contains new vocabulary (clothes) - I show the flash cards to the class on the smart board. - The Students should prepare pencils and papers to answer the activity in the video . While reading: - The class is devided into 4 groups. Each group consists of 6 students, Each group should read about the weather in a country. - Each group has a worksheet of the previously mentioned questions. - They have to answer in short sentences. - I provide them with this search engine to use (Weather search engine) , (Reading A-Z ) , (real period) (questions and answers) Post reading: Students exchange the groups to share the information they learn. They read each other's notes. Then they write it in their worksheets. ASSESSMENT: The students will be assessed according to their answers to the following activities: 1- Read the story. Then answer the questions below. 2- They have to put these questions and answers in order BACK UP PLAN: I will prepare printed texts and activities case the computer doesn't work or the power is off. I will also have a copy of the videos and the audio files on my laptop . The students will have a choice either to read or to listen to the text. HOMEWORK / FOLLOW UP: The students should read this report about the weather in Canada .
