Цель: Формирование целостного представления о традициях и обычаях празднования Пасхи в англоязычных странах.
Задачи:
1. Образовательная: расширить лингвострановедческий кругозор учащихся, активизировать лексику по теме «Праздники».
2. Воспитательная: воспитывать уважение к культуре и традициям других народов, способствовать сплочению коллектива через командную работу.
3. Развивающая: развивать творческие способности, логическое мышление и языковую догадку.
Оборудование: тематические картинки (пасхальный кролик, корзинка, яйца), карточки с заданиями, шоколадные яйца для поощрения.
Ход мероприятия.
I. Вступление.
Учитель: Hello, children! Today we are going to speak about a very beautiful holiday – Easter. It is a religious holiday. It is celebrated in spring, in April or May. In this day we remember Jesus Christ, go to church and congratulate our friends.
II. Основной этап
1.Учитель: What do you see? Right, there are some Easter words. Let’s revise them and make a wordsearch. Find and circle these words: EGG, BUNNY, BASKET, CAKE, CHICKEN.
Have you celebrated Easter? What do people do at Easter?
2. Учитель: And now listen to … about this holiday in her family. And complete the sentences.
Easter is in spring. It’s a great holiday. Easter is on Sunday. We remember Jesus Christ on this day. We go to church on Easter night. We light candles there. Mothers and grandmothers make Easter cakes and paint Easter eggs. Families meet on this holiday. We like Easter very much.

Do you like Easter? Why?
My dear, Easter is celebrated in many countries, in Britain as well. There are some differences. Let's read about them.
Easter is always on the Sunday after the first full moon that follows March 21. Easter is a Christian holiday.
Christians go to church on Easter. White lilies and candles in church help Christians think about new life.
People are also happy at Easter because spring is beginning after a long cold winter. There are spring flowers such as crocuses and daffodils. Birds come back from the south to build nests.
Easter eggs and rabbits are also signs of new life. The early Christians gave eggs to their friends and families.
Today many people paint eggs to make them look beautiful. Small children believe an Easter Bunny hides chocolate eggs. On Easter morning the children look for the eggs. It is called an Easter egg hunt.
On Easter people eat a sweet bun with a cross on it called a hot cross bun. Many families get together to have a big dinner on Easter.

Before we’ll do it, let’s revise our prepositions. (on, in. under, behind)
And we have 16 eggs in our classroom. Our task is to find them and say where did you find them. (Model: The egg is under the chair.)
4. Учитель: Well done! You found all eggs and now let’s ask and answer the questions using Past Simple. How do we form Past Simple? (S+Ved./ Did+S+V) (in pairs – перед всеми сразу). – Did you make an Easter cake? – Yes, I did.
5.”Egg rolling”
Учитель: I’ll divide you into 2 groups. You may find a basket with eggs, your task is to roll eggs into the boxes. But, you need to take the card and say + or – sentence.
Model: I didn’t collect eggs on Easter…
6.”Word chain”+box
You’re right! Let’s revise some new and known words with help of the next task. The last letter of the word — first letter of the next word. Let’s start with word “egg”

III. Итоги, рефлексия.
Учитель: My dear, the last word is “box”. Try to find the box in our classroom. Right! What can you find in it? Pictures of eggs! Imagine, that it’s not an egg, it’s something else… I’ll give you 2 minutes for this task.
