Сейчас вы будете выполнять задания по аудированию. Текст прозвучит два раза. После первого и второго прослушивания у вас будет время для выполнения и проверки заданий. Now we are ready to start.

Jason: Hi, Margo. Good to see you.

Margo: Oh, hi, Jason. How are you?

Jason: Fine, thanks. I didn't expect to see you here, in the school library. What are you reading?

Margo: It's "Teen Now", a girl's magazine. In this issue there's an interesting article about how early you should start thinking about choosing a career.

Jason: I see. Have you seen the latest issue of "Kerrang"? It has a new interview with Justin Bieber. I read it yesterday and found the interview original. I think you should look through it too.

Margo: "Kerrang" is a music magazine. I don't usually read it because music isn't really my cup of tea, you know.

Jason: Your interest lies in sport, doesn't it?

Margo: That's true. I don't only play for our school basketball team. All my friends know that I'm also a football fan. I watch all the matches of my favourite team. I even buy and read sports magazines which are usually popular with boys.

Jason: Isn't it stupid that we speak about "boy's magazines" and "girl's magazines"? Take you and me: you're a girl and you like football; I'm a boy but I don't read football magazines or computer magazines.

Margo: Do you read any periodicals at all? There are so many of them to choose from.

Jason: I like to keep "Radio Times" at hand because it gives me information about TV programmes.

Margo: And what about teenage magazines? Some of them seem to be worth reading.

Jason: I can't say that I read them regularly. Generally speaking, many more girls than boys buy teenage weeklies and monthlies. I'm one of those who don't.

Margo: I know. All my girlfriends read one teenage magazine or another. My sister Emma is crazy about "Shout". She reads every issue from cover to cover.

Jason: I wish there were more periodicals for boys. If you don't like football magazines or computer games monthlies, there is nothing for you to read.

Margo: I know that you've always been a great reader of books. Is it still true?

Jason: It is. I read all the new books by my favourite writers.

Margo: Are they mostly British authors?

Jason: Not necessarily. I like some American writers — John Green and Dan Brown, for example.

Margo: I think I should read more classics too. Could you make a reading list for me? I trust your opinion.

Jason: All right. I will. And you know what? I can bring you some books I particularly like, so you'll be able to read any you fancy.

Margo: That's a wonderful idea, Jason. Thank you very much indeed. Can I get them before the holidays begin? I'd like to have more time for reading.

You have 15 seconds to complete the task. (Pause 15 seconds.)

Now you will hear the text again. (Repeat.)

This is the end of the task. You now have 15 seconds to check your answers.

(Pause 15 seconds.)

This is the end of the Listening test.

Время, отведённое на выполнение заданий, истекло.
