1. Is it open-ended?
Yes, it is. There is no One correct answer for the question. It allows students to approach the question from different viewpoints. Also, it require students to investigate before answering the question.
1. Is it provocative?

Yes, it is. It provokes deep thought, lively discussion, sustained inquiry, and new understanding as well as more questions. Therefore, it creates interest and a feeling of challenge.
1. Is it challenging?
Yes, it is. It requires digital literacy and critical thinking skills. The process of answering this Essential Question assumes the research as students will have to learn to record podcasts, edit, and upload them to the Internet. It requires students to consider alternative topics for podcasts, support their ideas, and justify their answers.
1. Is it meaningful?

Yes, it is. Nowadays, podcasts are considered as indispensible assistants of a learner and it concerns not only the language, but all fields of study.
1. Does it go to the heart of a discipline or topic?

Yes, it does. It opens wide possibilities for developing all language skills, especially speaking (students will record their speech for podcasts), listening (students will listen to the podcasts of their classmates and do the exercises). Podcasts are the best for the consolidation of the material students have learned during the week as they will have to make books, articles, video and music reviews for their issues.
