The modern image of the Kaliningrad land is Russia in Europe. Kaliningrad is located near the Baltic Sea and borders Lithuania and Poland . Ancient temples, fortresses and castles remind us that Kaliningrad was once a part of Europe and in many ways was able to preserve this appearance.

The city was recognized three times as the best in Russia, so visiting it is the duty of every traveler. And so that you do not waste time in vain, we have prepared a list of the 7 best attractions in Kaliningrad.

The only amber museum in Russia was opened in 1979. It is located on the shores of the Upper Lake in a fortress tower from the middle of the 19th century and is one of the cultural places of the city.

It was founded in 1990 and is known throughout the country as a museum complex and a center for scientific research. Arriving at the museum, you can visit the museum ships "Vityaz", "Cosmonaut Viktor Patsaev", the submarine B-413.

The World Ocean Museum houses the only remaining skeleton of a sperm whale. The skeleton reaches 17 meters in size. Soon the museum will hold a ceremony of farewell to the skeleton. However, the separation will not last forever. We remind you that there are as many as one and a half sperm whale skeletons in the museum .

The cathedral was designed by architect Oleg Kopylov and is designed for 3,000 people. The temple is located on Victory Square .

The cathedral was opened in 1380.It is the main cultural and historical place of Kaliningrad. It houses the only organ center in Russia and the Immanuel Kant Museum.

Homlins are such funny creatures, masters of amber.Their bronze figurines are placed throughout the city at points of interest. There are five homlins in total so far. The grandfather homlin appeared in the very first summer of 2018 and stands right next to the cathedral on the Honey Bridge.
