В английском языке существуют 3 варианта сложного дополнения:

• С инфинитивом без частицы to или с причастием I после глаголов to feel, to hear, to watch, to notice.

To see:

I saw him enter the house.

She saw them playing in the garden.

To feel:

I felt somebody touch my hand.

He felt someone watching him.

To hear:

I heard him arrive early in the morning.

I heard him playing the piano.

To watch:

We watched the ship leave the port.

I sat and watched the children playing .

To notice:

Nobody noticed him disappear.

I noticed her listening to the concert with pleasure.

В конструкции с инфинитивом говорящий подчеркивает факт действия, с причастием – процесс.

I saw him enter the house. - Я видел, как он вошел в дом.

I saw him entering the house. – Я видел, как он входил в дом.

2. С инфинитивом без частицы to после глаголов to let, to make, to help, to have:

Let me tell you something about it.

Don’t make me laugh.

I’ll have him paint the house.

3. C инфинитивом с частицей to после глаголов:

to want, to expect, to believe, to know, to advise, to consider, to order, to think, to like, to find, etc:

I want you to find me a place in the car.

I believe her to be a very good cook.
