Berlin is one of the 16 states in the Federal Republic. The city is situated on the banks of the Spree and Havel in the center of the federal state of Brandenburg, of which it is not (since 1920).

The German government works hard to protect the country’s wildlife. There are  97 nature reserves in Germany , the biggest of which is the Black Forest. It is known as the oldest cite in Germany. In the whole world the city of Bremen is associated primarily with the Bremen Town Musicians. Today, the home of Bremen musicians spend classical music festival.
