EXTREME SPORTS

Extreme sports are nontraditional sports and activities that require participants to combine athletic skills with pronounced risks.  These activities often involve speed, height, a high level of physical training. We can call many kinds of sports extreme ones. Extreme sports are rarely sanctioned by schools. 

There are many extreme sports that take place in air, land, and water. For example there are some of them: ski jumping, sky diving, indoor climbing, mountain biking, , skateboarding, snowboarding, rafting, surfing, windsurfing. All these sports need to have special equipment and glasses. 

Graffiti

Modern graffiti began in big cities in the United States in the 1970s. In New York, young people wrote their names or “tags” in pen on walls around the city. Then, some teenagers started writing their tags with aerosol paint. Aerosol paint graffiti became very popular in the 1970s and 1980s. It appeared on trains, buses and walls around the world. In the 1990s and 2000s, a lot of graffiti artists started painting pictures. Some artists’ pictures were about politics. Other artists wanted to make cities beautiful and painted big, colourful pictures on city walls.

“ Bansky” is the name of a graffiti artist from Britain. Nobody knows his real name and few people have seen him. He has become famous for his street art, which has appeared in London and in other cities around the world.

In Russia graffiti is also popular. And even in Kaliningrad you can see some pieces of street art. Can you recognize these places? 

Summer time activities

One of the most favorite leisure time activities is going to the beach. Is it just sunbathing, swimming and doing nothing? Actually not! There are lots of exciting activities, which help us being fit, slim and healthy. If you don’t know how to spend your free time in summer we’ll tell you!

Both in English speaking countries and in Russia windsurfing, diving, banana riding, skydiving, beach volleyball, scooter riding and sand castle building are very popular.

Flash Mob

A flash mob (or flashmob) is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place or on the Internet. Flash mob — flash — вспышка; миг, мгновение; mob — толпа; переводится как «мгновенная толпа») The first flash mobs were created in Manhattan in 2003, by Bill Wasik, senior editor of Harper's Magazine. Flash mob performances are held to express the attitude towards some social events and just express yourself, relax and have a good time together.

Flash mob is a good way of having fun, gathering together, meeting new people, making new friends and leading a healthy way of life.

Street Dance

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles firstly performed to hip-hop music.

The history of hip-hop dance began in the late 1960s.

B-boying or Breaking , also called Breakdancing , is a style of street dance that originated among African-American and Puerto Rican youths in New York City during the early 1970s.

The dance spread worldwide.

Our world and our countries are different. But our unity is in our diversity. It’s very important to spend your free time in a healthy way. If you lead an active life that means your life is full of excitement, fantastic impressions and adventures.
