Good morning ladies & gentlemen! Today we inspect the case of lost generation. Before our work we should revise some instructions.

This case is difficult & has many problems.

Students read instructions.

Listen the information

There are many gangs in the world. They are aggressive & loud. They use drugs, alcohol, left their homes & attack negroes, immigrants. Some people say that they are lost generations of our century. Their problems are our problems. Who is guilty! I perform two groups. The first group- plaintiffs. The second- defendants. Every sides have their witnesses.

1. Is your information irresponsible?

2. Are schools guilty in problems of youth?

3. Do you think we have teenager problems in Russia?

5. Do some people say all teens are awful?

The first group- plaintiffs.

Students read the text about the problems of youth.

There are a lot of problems facing people at the beginning of the new century. The problems to be urgently solved are ethnic conflicts, the growing world populations, the ecological crisis. We think, the main problem is the problem of youth. This problem is vital. Teenagers from all countries have the same problems. They are often involved in different crimes robbery, vandalism, drugsale. Many of them run from homes because parents treat them badly. They drink alcohol and take drugs. Finally many teens commit suicide. They older generations connect with the growing influence of the American way of life, on TV and culture. Who is guilty?

The second- defendants.

Students read the text about the young progressive people.

The life of teenagers in the world is full of interesting things. On the one hand they have some problems but on the other hand they have a great number of different positive opportunities such as leisure centres, discos, colleges and schools. They have many rights proclaimed by the UN Convention. They have the right to privacy, to life, to protection and health care. Children are the citizens of their country. Their parents and the Government do their best. Many young people take part in different youth movements, i.e. the Leader of the 21^st century. Our young people can defend our country. One of them is A. Kuzin, the student of our school. We think our generation is patriotic and moral.

The witnesses of two sides make speeches.

The first group- plaintiffs.

1.You are a representative of teenager group. You think that nobody understands you. You are not pleased with your school. Your parents are always busy. Nobody needs you. Your friends and streets are best.

2.You are a Goth. You like to spend time with your friends. Sometimes you play jokes on Negroes and drugsale. You don't think that it is bad.

3.You are a teacher. You students are potential criminals, their groups are like gangs. What do you think about it?

The second- defendants.

1.You are a representative of youth movements the Leader of the 21^st century. You have high life principles. What do you think about your classmates and their life positions?

2.You are a journalist. You support progressive youth movements. You should describe the situation in your country.

3.You are a representative of Local Authorities. You consider young people have moral principles. Prove it.

3. Do you know a person who was a hippie and some years later became a president of a big country? What do you think about this fact?

Now young people have a particular relationship with the world. There are many groupings that have interests different from those of the mainstream culture. A particular cultural grouping is a way for young people to express their individuality. The world of youth has two sides. On the one hand the youth is the patriotic generation of our country, on the other hand they have many problems in the world.
