Сценарий внеклассного мероприятия.

Тема: Обычаи и традиции стран изучаемого языка, праздник «Halloween».

Образовательное учреждение: ГОУ СПО ЯО ЯГК.

Цель: создание условий активизации и реализации творческого потенциала студентов.

Задачи:

Познавательная: познакомить учащихся с традициями и культурой страны изучаемого языка на основе праздника ”Хэллоуин”.

Развивающая: развивать интерес учащихся к изучению традиций страны изучаемого языка.

Воспитательная: прививать интерес к изучению английского языка.

Ведущий:

Good evening dear students! Today we got together here to celebrate Halloween. So we’re going to have lots of fun, positive emotions, good mood, games, contests, small gifts and delicious treats.

Here is our jury. Let me introduce them.

1. Фонетическая зарядка

Ведущий:

To warm up we’ll learn a scary story. You have to read the story all together. You have 2 minutes to be ready. (The members of the teams get the words of the scary story and prepare to tell it together).

In a dark, dark wood there is a dark, dark house.
And in a dark, dark house there is a dark, dark room.
And in a dark, dark room there is a dark, dark cupboard.
And in a dark, dark cupboard there is a dark, dark box.
And in a dark, dark box there is a dark, dark g - h - o - s - t.

2. История праздника

Ведущий:

Now I will tell you a few words about Halloween. Halloween is a holiday that is also called “All Saints Day”. In the USA children wear costumes and masks and go trick-or-treating. The neighbours give them such treats as candies, fruit and pennies so that children do not play tricks on them. Pumpkin is a symbol of this festival. People carve a face in it, put a candle inside and they call it Jack-o-lantern. An Irish legend says that Jack-o-lanterns are named after the man Jack. Fortune telling and story telling about ghosts and witches are popular activities. Today people practice palmistry. Once people believed that there were many ghosts and witches on the Earth and that they met on October, 31 to worship a devil. Today people don’t believe in ghosts and witches but they like telling stories about them.

So now we are going to watch a short video about Monster Mash in order each of you will feel the atmosphere of Halloween.

4. Конкурс плакатов

Ведущий:

Well, now when we feel atmosphere of a real holiday, we can divide into two teams and choose the captain in each team. I give you one minute for it! I see you are ready. So now each participant of a group should be active, creative and quick to win the games and contests. But, please, don’t be shy! So now each team will get a whatman, pencils, scissors, color paper and glue. Your task is to create your own poster which will include the name of the holiday, name of your team, your motto, material that you prepared at home (they were given a home-task beforehand) and “the flight of your fancy”. In a word, just everything that is connected with Halloween. You will have ten minutes for it. Are you ready? Start.

Well, time is over. And now the captain of your team will introduce your masterpiece to us.

So each team was creative and original and each participant of teams gets a point for the great job.

5. Игра «Кто я?»

Ведущий:

Well, let’s come to the next game that is called “Who am I”? We need two people from each team. Each of you will get a piece of paper with one word associated with Halloween that will be stuck on your back. Your task is to guess who you are asking other people different questions and they can answer only “yes” or “no”. So one person asks one question in turn and does it till one guesses who he/she is.

Our next game is “Halloween story”. Each team gets the beginning of the story and your task is to make an interesting scary ending of it. You will have 5 minutes for it.

Now we will play “Halloween Questions”. You should face to each other, take one question out of this magic bag and throw it to the person who you want answer it. The person who gets the question should read it aloud and answer.

8. Стихотворение.

Ведущий:

Our next contest is called “Halloween Vocabulary”. Each team will get two papers, the first one includes a list of words with its definitions and the other one includes a poem “Little Monsters”. Your task is to read and translate all the words, then read the poem and fill in the blanks with the appropriate words. The team who will be the first and do the task in a proper way is a winner.

9. Конкурс страшных фраз.

And now we will have a competition with the name “Finish the spooky phrase”. You’ll have a paper where there are many words. Your task is to choose any of them and make spooky word combinations with them. More spooky word combinations you make more chances to win you have.

10. Секретное послание.

Ведущий:

Now each of you will get a «Halloween Secret Message» but which exactly you should tell us. Here you see a square with letters and you have to cross out written letters and decode the secret message which you should write under the square. The team who will be the first is a winner.

11. Подведение итогов.

Ведущий:

So it was our last task. All of you did a great job, tried their best to win, to be the first and you achieved good results. So each of you is a winner, a champion. Now let’s finish our competition with kind and warm words to each other – wishes. Turn to your neighbour, look into his or her eyes, call his or her name and wish everything you want. Great!

Let’s count the points and see the team – winner. Our winner is …. Thanks a lot and get our congratulations! I hope you enjoyed our holiday and got useful and interesting information about Halloween. Thank you for your participation and attention!
