April 23 is the birthday of William Shakespeare, the greatest English playwright. The last half of the 16th century is known as the Golden Age of English literature. It was the time of the English Renaissance and sometimes it is even called “the age of Shakespeare”. William Shakespeare was the greatest and the most famous of English writers and probably the greatest playwright who has ever lived, was born in the town of Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. He was known as a writer of comedies, historical dramas and tragedies.
Dear students, welcome to our party, which is devoted to the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birthday. We are very glad that you are participating here and we would be very happy if you enjoy our party.

Greeting
The name of our group is London. It is the capital of Great Britain. It is a large commercial center. London is one of the ancient cities in the world. Its population is more than 10 million people. There are many famous places such as: Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, The British Museum, The Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and others.
The name of our group is Great Britain. It is a large island which is in the north-west of European continent. The country is divided into four parts. The population is 60 million people.
Let’s listen about the life and creative activity of William Shakespeare.
William Shakespeare was born in April,1564. His father was arich citizen, whose business was making and selling leather gloves. His mother was a daughter of an important farmer. When he was 19 he married Anne. She was farmer’s daughter and she was some years older than he. During those years he helped his father about the farm and the family business.
William Shakespeare had three children: Susannah, the eldest one, then twins a son Hamlet and another girl Judith. In 1587 Shakespeare went to work in London, leaving Anne and the children at home.
