We would like to tell you the story of the first Thanksgiving.( музыка )-

Many years ago the Pilgrims lived in England.

On a bright September day in 1620

They said “Good bye “ to their family and friends.

The Pilgrims:

Good bye England. Good bye, friends .

We are leaving England to find a new home,

Far across the ocean in America.

There we hope to be free

To worship God in our own way (for freedom) 3 times В.Б.

Ведущие(2):

The Pilgrims crossed the ocean on a ship Mayflower.

The Pilgrims:

( song “Mayflower)

The Mayflower, the Mayflower

A little ship on an the ocean trip.

The Mayflower, the Mayflower

A yo ho ho over the sea.

The lightning was frightning ( гром и ветер )

The winds were strong as they rode along

On the Mayflower, the Mayflower

A yo ho ho over the sea.

Ведущие(2):

The voyage was long and stormy снова (ветер гром и шум дождя)

Huge waves washed across the deck of the Mayflower

The Pilgrims were sick and fearful

The wind blew , the ship rocked,

The Pilgrims prayed that it would not sink.

After many months the boat stopped at Plymouth Rock

The Pilgrims thanked God for keeping them safe.

The Pilgrims:

Thanks God, (все) we have arrived! .O! My God! We have done it!

 Look! Somebody is coming! - . And their skin is red!

Ведущие(2):

Here the Pilgrims met people.

These people were Native American Indians.

American Indian:

I'm greeting you, pale faced people! My name is Squanto

We’ll teach you how to survive here

(song “Ten little Indians”)

One little, two little, three little Indians
Four little, five little, six little Indians
Seven little, eight little, nine little Indians
Ten little Indian boys.

Ten little, nine little, eight little Indians
Seven little, six little, five little Indians
Four little, three little, two little Indians
One little Indian boy.

The pilgrim’s first winter in the New World was difficult without food.

The following spring the Indians taught the Pilgrims to hunt, fish, plant.

American Indians:

( song “This is the way we plant our corn”)

This is the way we plant our corn – 3 раза - every spring in the morning.

This is the way we get our fish – 3 раза - every day in the morning.

This is the way we hunt for our food– 3 раза - every day in the morning.

This is the way we dig sweet potatoes – 3 раза - every year in autumn

This is the way we grind our corn, Grind our corn, grind our corn.
This is the way we grind our corn, For Thanksgiving Day.

This is the way we kneed our bread, kneed our bread, kneed our bread for Thanksgiving Day.

Ведущие(2):

In autumn the vegetables grew.

The Pilgrims began to gather the corn and pumpkins.

The Pilgrims:

. For the next winter we will have enough to eat.

Let’s invite our Native American friends to a great feast.

American Indians:

(Indians are dancing )LYRICS:

Fly like the eagle, run like the deer
Swim like the fish, growl like the bear
Slither like the snake, creep like the fox
Hop like the rabbit, prowl like the wolf
Twinkle like the star, shine like the sun
Blow like the wind, grow like the flower
Flow like the mountain stream, turn like the earth
Rumble like the thunder, fall like the rai

Ведущие(2):

The Thanksgiving celebration lasted for three days.

Everyone ate, danced and sang songs.

Все вместе:

(song “Turkey in the throw” )

The Pilgrims:

( poem “Little Pilgrim clothed in gray”)

Little Pilgrim clothed in gray
on that first Thanksgiving Day.
Natives also clothed in brown,
come to visit Plymouth Town.
Side by side they ate and prayed,
on that First Thanksgiving Day.
Let's be thankful for this day,
for our friends and our play.
Let's be thankful, let's be glad,
for our food and the things we have.
Let's give thanks for you and me, and our home and family

Все вместе:

It is time to give thanks to God for a good harvest.

I am thankful for good food to eat

I am thankful for all my family

I am thankful for all my friends I am thankful to be me

Все вместе:
