Сценарий проведения Christmas
Цель: познакомить учащихся с культурой и традициями изучаемого языка, формировать социо-культурную компетенцию, расширять лексический запас учащихся; создавать положительную мотивацию к изучению английского языка; развивать творческие способности учащихся; воспитывать толерантное отношение к культуре народов других стран, умение работать в коллективе.
Учитель: Дорогие гости, сегодня у нас большой праздник – Новый год! Но не обычный Новый год, а Christmas! Christmas – это Рождество, которое на Западе празднуют раньше, чем Новый год. Дети тоже украшают елку, получают подарки.
К этому празднику мы все долго готовились. И сегодня Вы увидите, что у нас получилось.

Ведущий 1: In Great Britain Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December. It is one of the most important public holidays. The Queen gives her Christmas message which is broadcast on television, radio and the Internet.
A beautifully decorated Christmas tree – a traditional gift from the people of Norway – is displayed in Trafalgar Square.
Ведущий 2: Shops and shopping centers put up Christmas lights and decorations as millions of people in Britain do the Christmas shopping. People decorate their homes at Christmas. They put up lights and illuminated Christmas figures outside their houses. Rooms are usually decorated with garlands, candles, wreaths and different Christmas plants.
Ведущий 1:In the living room people put up a Christmas tree which is traditionally decorated with lights, bells, candy canes and tinsel. Beautifully packed presents are put under the Christmas tree. The traditional colours of decorations are green, red and gold.

Ведущий: А тебя, Баба Яга, никто сюда не приглашал. Ну раз ты пришла, то проходи. Только пообещай не вредничать и никому не мешать.
Баба Яга: (I want presents…) Ok
