Talk about village

My name is Olga and I’d like to tell you about my little homeland. My homeland is Canerga. My mother, brothers and relatives live here. A small village in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Ardatovsky district. It is located not far from Diveevo, 15 kilometers. My village is located in a forest, in a picturesque hilly forest area. Especially beautiful in early spring, when nature awakens from winter sleep, dresses up in bright spring outfit. When you look at all this simple splendor, you get happiness.

 There is a monastic monastery, which is subordinate to the Diveevo Diocese. This is one of 9 monasteries. It was created in the 18th century. It was abandoned during the Soviet era.

In December 1991, the monastery was asked to take a dormant primary school for firewood. Seeing that the bell tower on which the cross stood was nearby, the sisters decided to rebuild the monastery here. In 1992, a new Pokrovsky temple was laid, the consecration of which took place on October 23, 1993. [1]

There is a building with a large refectory and a library on the second floor. All in all a very quiet pleasant place really far from worldly fuss.

I like my homeland.

In the village is located the spring «Talking». This is the well in the name of the Holy Trinity. The talking well because during the feast of the magnificence of the Holy Trinity, the water in the spring began to boil, as if responding to prayer. Yes, so loud that it splashed out of the shores. People come to the well to gain strength. Amazing feelings spread over the body after swimming in the spring.
