What We Can Learn from a Movie Trailer?

Movie trailers are everywhere. They're on TV, at the movies, and all over the internet. But what can we learn from a movie trailer? Actually, there's a lot we can learn. First of all, we can get an idea of what the movie is about. Is it a comedy or a drama? Is it set in the future or the past? Does it take place in a big city or the country? All of these things can usually be seen in a trailer.

For example, if there are lots of explosions and car chases, it's probably an action movie. We can also see who's in the movie. Are there any famous actors or actresses? Sometimes just one big name is enough to make people want to see a movie. And if the trailer shows that the actor or actress is really funny or good at fighting, we might be even more interested. Another thing we can learn is whether the movie is based on a book, another movie, or a true story. If the trailer says "based on a true story," it might make us want to see it more.

But if it says "based on a book," some people might want to read the book first. Trailers can also show us the most exciting parts of a movie. They're like a kind of summary. This can be good because it can make us want to see the movie

But sometimes they show too much. They give away the ending or show all the best parts. So when we finally see the movie, there aren't any surprises. That's why some people don't like watching trailers. Finally, trailers can tell us when a movie is coming out. At the end of the trailer, there's usually a date. This is the day the movie will be in theaters. Sometimes they also say "coming soon" or "this summer." That way, we know when to look for it.

So the next time you see a movie trailer, think about what you can learn from it. Maybe it will make you want to see the movie. Or maybe it will tell you everything you need to know.

  1. Watch a trailer and analyze what you can see there and with what the effect is generated?

  2. Write about any movie you are waiting this year after watching the trailer. Use the frame

I am looking forward to seeing … movie this year. I have seen the trailer. It uses … (effects). The teaser has left me ….(adjective of emotions). All in all, I like this kind of films because …

… (actors) have starred in the film and I think it is a good/bad choice because ….

The director is ….and I have (or have not) seen his works before. The movie seems to be… (adjectives of opinion). It will come out … (when?) and I will watch it at the cinema (or at home).
