Essential question: What is the best design for an electronic version of an English teacher portfolio?

I think this question is an Essential question, because it meets all the necessary criteria for this term. This question corresponds to three levels of Essential question.

It is open-ended. Each student has his own opinion on this matter, there can be no definite answer.

It is provocative. The question of preference is always provocative. Everyone must defend their choice, not forgetting about politeness.

It is challenging. To justify their choice, students must make their portfolio and design it in a project, which is not an easy task.

To resolve this issue, you have to use all the skills inherent in the Essential question. Also, this question corresponds to the current trends in teaching English.
