The Stars
Nobody knows how many years the stars exist. It seems they exist eternally. They can be small, middle, big and very huge. They also have their own color: white, red, blue. The color of each star depends on the temperature of the surface of every star. How many stars are there in the galaxy, universe? Nobody knows too. When was the universe born? Scientists consider that our Universe was born 15 billion years ago as a result of the huge explosion. The galaxy is stars and space. It is not alone. There are many galaxies in our Universe.
Do stars grow old and die? The simple answer is yes, they do. But what happens to each star depends on its original size. When a small star reaches the end of its life, it becomes cooler and swells up to a red giant. After millions of years it turns into a larger supernova. But then it starts to shrink to a smaller size and it becomes a white dwarf. White dwarfs are about as big as the earth. A super red giant is formed when large star dies. Then like its smaller cousin, it explodes into a supernova, which shines brightly for a short time. But then, quite suddenly, the supernova collapses into very much smaller. Sometimes, the result is a pulsar, which flashes on into black holes. A black hole pulls in the Universe, some of which are as big as our in the influence of the Sun. The smallest planet is Mercury. It is the first planet of our Solar system and is the nearest neighbor of the Sun. It is very hot planet. There is no life in it. Only one planet of our Solar system has a life. It is our Earth. It is very nice, blue planet with the atmosphere around it. The biggest planet of our solar system, of course, is the Sun, and then Jupiter too. Saturn is very interesting planet. It has a ring. This ring is made of many asteroids which move very quickly around this planet.
The scientists are very interesting in the exploration of the outer space and astronomers help them to understand the formation and death of star and etc.
There are many courage people who were in the outer space. The first cosmonaut was Jury Gagarin, who is widely known in the world now.
Our Solar system, galaxy is developing now and we develop with them too. It will be eternally. It is the nature’s law.

The Sky and the Planets
It doesn’t matter how small or tall you are, you can touch the sky. The sky begins at the ground. Above the ground there are the air miles and miles of it.
You know perfectly well that air is made of gases, specks of dust and water.
Sunshine makes the sky look blue. But sometimes when clouds shade the Sun the rain splashes down to the Earth. But in cold winter days the rain turns into snow. Snowflakes are made of little bits of ice. They cover the ground with a fluffy white blanket.
Up above the clouds, the Sun is shining. Sunshine goes through space and air, but not through the Earth: so only the side of the Earth that faces the Sun has a day. The other side has a night.
All the while the Moon is moving around the Earth, the Earth is travelling around the Sun. And as it travels, you go with it. Each trip lasts one year. In that time you ride through millions and millions of miles of space.
The seasons come and go while the Earth is slanting towards the Sun. The Earth is hot the only world that goes around the Sun. Eight other worlds travel around it too. The Earth and the eight other are planets.
The planets are far apart. Each planet moves in its own path. Mercury, the smallest planet, is hard to see because it is nearest to the Sun. Venus is brighter that anything in the sky, except the Sun and the Moon. The planet Mars looks like a bright red star. Jupiter, the biggest planet of all, looks like a bright white star. Saturn looks like a yellow star.
A telescope is needed to see the last three planets: Uranus, Neptune. The modern scientists found that Pluto is not the planet, but it is the star. In spite of them many people would like to visit other planets.
Future space travelers may make many exciting discoveries. But they will be glad to come home.
As far as we know only the Earth has the right kind of air, water, and food for people.
The most wonderful planet of all is our Earth.
