Good morning pupils! Glad to see you! Are surprised to see a mask on my face? Why do you think I put on a mask? What is the theme of our lesson today?
Ok. Well done! The theme of our lesson today is “Earth is in danger or how can we save our planet”. The word Environment means simply what is around us. Nowadays people understand how important it is to solve environmental problems that endanger people’s lives. Let`s remember, what are these problems:
Pollution (air, water,)
Noise from cars, buses etc.
Destruction of wildlife and countryside beauty (cutting down trees)
Shortage of natural resources
So, we will talk today about environmental problems and the way to solve them.

But, at first look at the board. People started to think about environmental problems long ago and here are some quotations about it. Let`s read and translate them:

What would you do, If you were the President of the USA? To answer the question, we remember some grammar rules. Look at the board. There are three types of Conditionals. Повторяем 3 типа условных предложений. Все вместе составляем предложения.
1-ый тип: Если спасатели быстро очистят дно от нефти, мы спасём обитателей Мексиканского залива. If safety workers quickly clean the bottom from the oil, we will save the inhabitants of the Gulf of Mexico.
2-ой тип: Если бы Вы оказались на месте катастрофы, что бы Вы сделали? If you were at the disaster place, what would you do?
3-ий тип: Если бы люди соблюдали бы меры безопасности, эта катастрофа бы не произошла. If people had followed safety precautions, this disaster would not have occurred.

VI.Групповая работа с карточками
And now, it’s time to work in groups (4-5 чел.). Let`s divide into 3 groups. I give a card to each of the group. Your task is to discuss the problem, give reason of this problem and the way to solve it. One of each group will tell us about the result of discussion. Во время каждого выступления, учащийся другой группы должен услышать и записать в своей работе проблему, о которой рассуждают.

VII. Творческое задание
So, I`m glad, that you understand, environmental problems are the most important nowadays. It may sound funny to you, but man needs protection and care as much as animals do. Our homes, cities and towns must be kept ecologically clean. In the places where people drink poisoned water, eat bad food and breathe polluted air they suffer from serious diseases and die very early. Do you agree? Actually, not all people understand that our planet is in real danger. Let`s call them to save the world. Write a slogan in your worksheet.
