Consolidation of the lesson

• A human brain weighs about 2.5 kg.
• It has four main parts.
• The brainstem connects the brain and the spinal cord.
• The cerebellum is the largest part of the brain.
• The pituitary gland which is at the base of the brain and secretes hormones into the blood.
• The hypothalamus which is above the pituitary gland and regulates conditions such as emotions and feelings.
• There are two amygdalas on each side of the brain.
