OF THE ACTIVITY OF THE DISCUSSION CLUB (ON THE BASIS

OF THE SPEI “ZABAIKALSKY MINING COLLEGE NAMED AFTER M.I. AGOSHKOV”)

In the frame of the youth project: “World Skills: Russia” the demand for gaining deep knowledge of English has been grown. In this connection at the periods of English we are alluded to the bases of communicative methodology of diving into the British cultural environment. At the academic year of 2018-2019 the activity of the discussion club: “Not All Will Be Taken to the Future…” has been started. Being the coordinators of the students’ community, we have managed to give the characteristics of the modern youth. Coming to the conclusion of the performed activity it has been relevant to state the image of modern youth to be meant as some sort of conglomerate, consisting of the following components: moral consciousness, self-discipline, learning motivation, communicative positioning, statement logics, sanity and tolerance in judgments, linguistic competence. Moral consciousness is concealed in the capacity of assessing the relevance and adequacy of proper judgments. In self-discipline a human being realizes the true force of the personal will and capacity for the personal growth. He (or she) is absolutely objective to the self and doesn’t accelerate his (or her) own talent and possibilities and doesn’t attach the label of the lack of success to the personality. Self-discipline is vital in the formation of the youth, it frequently lacks in responsibility realizing and in capacity for being pedantic and imperative. Speaking of learning motivation, one may state that it is formed at the first year of studies, when the building of the most significant character traits of the student is being performed, these traits being the trigger for making the student successful in the modern world in the nearest future. Communicative positioning means the purity and correctness of speech, possibility for using the vocabulary for gaining the communication task. Statement logics is settled as the optional factor, providing the relevance and sequence of the range of judgments for determining the reasonable conclusion. Sanity and tolerance in judgments assist in setting the contact with the actual society for getting involved into the social structure and for becoming its integral part. Linguistic competence, being the fundamental component of the discussion club is the vital element of the teaching-learning process, which reveals adequacy of the application of the speech material in the produced situations of communication. Hence, the conglomerate image of the modern youth has been revealed due to the appropriate description of the basic task of the discussion club: “Not All Will Be Taken to the Future…” due to its communicative function in the double linguistic cultural environment.
