Цели:
• Учебно-познавательная цель :
Расширение кругозора учащихся через знакомство с чайным этикетом, с историей происхождения чая и особенностями употребления чая в Англии.
Совершенствование навыков аудирования, совершенствование лексических навыков говорения, развитие умения читать с целью извлечения детальной информации, развитие умения понимать культурологический аспект текстов, развитие умения переводить и пользоваться словарем.
• Развивающая цель – развитие творческих способностей учащихся, развитие способностей к распределению и переключению внимания, к непроизвольному запоминанию при восприятии на слух, развитие способностей подбора выражений, адекватных ситуаций.
• Воспитательная цель – формирование потребности и способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в группе, воспитание уважительного отношения к образу жизни других народов, более глубокого осознания своей культуры.
Задачи:
1. Создание условий для развития логического мышления учащихся, умения анализировать, высказывать свои мысли, аргументировать, одобрять.
2. Способствовать укреплению знаний о традициях и обычаях стран изучаемого языка.
Ход:
- Good afternoon. I am glad to see everybody. Today we all have an unusual party. It is connected with one of English traditions: English Drinking Tea. I want you feel yourself real Englishmen. And learn more information about this country.
- There are 5 classes here and I want to introduce our jury. They will give you marks for your answers and creative attitude. This tea and biscuits are for you.
- Let’s begin our tea drinking ceremony.
The 1st task.
Do you know any English traditions or characteristic features? Some British customs and traditions are famous all over the world: Bowler hats, drinking tea and talking about the weather, for example.
One person of your team should come here and do everything I’ll tell. You should do it quickly and right.
During drinking tea you must follow the next rules:
1You must lay sugar in the tea carefully.
2You must stir the sugar.
3You must eat the biscuit.
4You must taste you tea.
5And one more: during drinking tea Englishmen speak only about pleasant things

The 2nd task
You have sheets of paper on the table and your task is- to write all attributes of tea ceremony. I’ll give you 2 minutes. Count please your words.
The 3rd task.
When Englishmen get together for drinking tea on their table you can see a lot of different dishes. For example, jam, biscuits, sweets, fruits, cheese, cakes, and of course an apple pie. It is the main dish of drinking tea. And here you can see its ingredients. But some of them are odd. Find them and write down.
Apples. Tablespoons.Lemon juice. Sugar.Bread. Flour. Knife.Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Bottle.Tea.butter. Egg. Milk. Salt.

As you know tastes differ and peoples have many styles of tea drinking. English, Chinese, Indian, Russian tea drinking are the most famous of them.
You should match the texts and the countries. Read the text very attentively. When you are ready raise your hands. Put the number and the country.
Russia
At the beginning of the 17th century, the Chinese Emperor presented the … Czar with a gift of tea. Thus, tea became an acceptable drink in this country about 100 years before arriving in the European countries. The population customarily drinks black tea. This country was so strongly associated with black tea. Tea culture is an integral part of culture of this country and is referred to in works of art and literature. The samovar, a metal container for heating water, can be found in almost every home and is part of the cultural icons of this country. People tend to prepare a strong, bitter concentrate of black tea which is kept in a small teapot next to the samovar.
India
The tea industry of this country began flourishing only during the 19th century. At this time, the British trade giant "The East … Trade Company" controlled the importation of tea from the Eastern countries in general and from this country in particular. Today, the tea industry of this country is one of the most flourishing and influential branches of the economy of this country . this country produces about 900,000 tons of tea per year. Among the various types of tea to be found in India are the popular Asam tea as well as the Darjeeling tea which is considered to be one of the best teas in the world. People of this country customarily drink black tea with milk.
Chinese
The tea ceremony of this country is the most ancient ceremony and plays a central role in its culture.
The tea is the heart of the ceremony: the host and ceremony participants smell the tea, taste it and enjoy the many layers of taste discovered with every mouthful.
The tea ceremony reflects the search for beauty in every object of the world, in accordance with Tao philosophy. The ceremony must be conducted in a peaceful atmosphere and induce a sense of tranquility and harmony among the participants. The tea ceremony is conducted for various purposes: anything from expressing appreciation or asking forgiveness, to creating goodwill among the guests of family reunions or wedding celebrations.
Britain.
People of this country are among the world's most massive tea consumers. Perhaps it is possible to understand the importance of tea in the culture of this country if we recall Sir Winston Churchill's declaration during the Second World War that: "Tea is more important to the soldiers than munitions".Black tea was very common in this country during the 18th century and the British founded the tradition of adding milk to black tea. Drinking tea in the afternoon is a custom which began during the 19th century. High tea is the further development and refinement of the afternoon tea.
