Today our lesson will be devoted to the theme “The educational system in the USA” and we’ll learn new words before get new information. This lesson will be unusual for you because we are going to work with multimedia. Our task is to remember and to discuss all aspects of school education which are typical of the USA and our country. I would like to work hard and be more attentive. I wish you good luck .Your prizes will be your good marks .But first of all let’s revise some material you have learned before.

Now, pupils, lets continue our lesson. At the previous lesson you learnt some interesting things about education in Britain. Today we’ll speak about the educational system in the USA and our country.

Today is the 26^th of January. It is Thursday .The theme of our lesson” The educational system in America.”What are we going to do at the lesson? We’ll learn new words ,then we get new information about the system of school education in the USA and our country. So pupils first of all look at multimedia board. You must read the Kazakh equivalents and find the English equivalents in the second column for the words and phrases in the bold. Do you notice anything special about these equivalents?

Now pupils look attentively to multimedia board. There are many types of schools in America and in our country. For example: Nursery school, Elementary school, Middle school and High school. In our country there are Nursery school, Primary school and Secondary school.

Now, look at the scheme attentively, and listen to me.

You know that American school education is one of the most prestigious all over the world. Now it’s time to tell something about America’s school system nowadays. In America has public schools ,private ,home schooling. American children start school at the age of 6-7.But before going to school they usually visit nursery school. .Nursery school is not compulsory. Those who don’t want to visit it stay at home. So children begin to attend school at the age of 6.It is elementary school. Elementary school lasts for 6 years. At the age of 12 pupils move to a new school, it is a middle school more traditionally called junior school. Middle school lasts for 3 years. Then pupils attend high school. They are 9^th grade at the age of 14-15 (freshman year),10^th grade at the age of 15-16,11^th grade at the age of 16-17(junior year)and 12the grade at the age of 17-18.(senior year) .American pupils finish school at the age of 18.Then they may go to the college or University. Now look attentively the next scheme .

In our country children visit nursery school at the age of 3-6.Then pupils attend primary school .After primary school pupils attend secondary school .There are nine years school and eleven years school. Nine years of classes are compulsory in our country. In our country pupils finish school at the age of 17.Then they may go to the college or University.\
