The world of money, banks and shopping

Цель: Активизировать изученный лексический материал на уровне слов, словосочетаний и предложений в устной речи.

Задачи:

1. Учебные:

- Обучение использованию изученных ЛЕ в устной речи.

- Совершенствование коммуникативных умений и речевой активности каждого ученика.

- Совершенствование навыков аудирования на базе изученного лексического материала с целью опознавания необходимой информации.

1. Развивающие:

- Развитие умения использовать необходимый изученный лексический и грамматический материал при построении словосочетаний и предложений.

- Формирование умения представлять своё мнение и выслушивать предложения других людей.

1. Воспитательная:

- Воспитание доброжелательного отношения к людям.

I. Организация начала урока.

-Good morning, pupils!

-I’m glad to see you, sit down please..

- Who is on duty today?

-Who is absent today?

- Describe the weather, please.

II. Речевая зарядка.

T.: Ok, now let’s remember some humans’ qualities and play our popular game “A magic chair”. Who wants to sit on it today?

P-s: call the positive and negative things referred to the chosen person.(называют положительные и отрицательные качества выбранного ученика.)

III. Активизация лексического материала по теме “The world of money, banks and shopping”

T: You know now it’s a very necessary skill to be able to do with money, to understand the banking language and to go shopping.

Today we’ll repeat our vocabulary and grammar in various exercises.

1. Translate words and words combinations from Russian into English using necessary vocabulary:

• занимать деньги to borrow money

• брать денежную ссуду, заём to loan money

• открывать текущий счёт to open a current account

• получать банковскую карту to get a bank card

• покупать готовую одежду to buy ready-made clothes

• курс обмена a rate of exchange

• искать удобную обувь to look for the comfortable  footwear

• попросить консультанта о помощи to ask an assistant for help

• покупать обстановку в кредит to buy furnishing on credit

• завернуть подарок to wrap (up) the present (gift)

1. Translate sentences from Russian into English using necessary vocabulary.

1. Магазины являются идеальными местами, где вы можете потратить ваши деньги.

2. - Не могли бы Вы помочь мне? - Could you help me, please?

3.- Да, конечно. Что Вы хотели бы купить?

- Yes, of course. What would you like to buy?

4. - Покажите мне примерочную, пожалуйста. - Show me the fitting room, please.

5. Cовременные торговые центры выглядят как города под одной крышей и комбинируют шопинг и развлечения (досуг).

- Modern shopping centres look like cities under one roof and combine shopping and leisure.

6. - О, смотри! Здесь имеются специальные приспособления для инвалидов.

• Oh, look! There are special facilities for disabled(wheelchairs) here.

7. Где я могу взять тележку для покупок? - Where can I take a shopping trolley?

8. - Вы примете мой платёж? - Will you accept my payment?

9. - Не теряйте Ваш чек, пожалуйста. Он Вам понадобится, если Вы захотите вернуть товар. - Don’t lose your cheque (receipt), please. You’ll need it if you want to return (give back) your thing.

10. - Я думаю, что эти ткани слишком дорогие. Я не собираюсь влезать в долги из-за их покупки. - I think these fabrics are too expensive. I’m not going to get into debt because of buying them.

4. Describe the following pictures in a pair of sentences.

Pupils are offered to look at different photos related to the theme. They should find necessary information from the learnt material.

5.Listen to some short dialogues for definition the place.

Pupils are offered to listen to several dialogues. AFTERWARDS they should call the area where the talk is happening. (4-5 short dialogues from the cassette recorder or computer)

IV. Physical pause. Физкультминутка.

Дети вместе с учителем произносят слова зарядки, выполняя действия, о которых в ней говорится. Начинают медленно, несколько раз, постепенно ускоряя темп (можно заменить танцевальными движениями).

V. A short-term project. (краткосрочный проект)

Развитие умения находить и применять необходимую информацию из разных источников и отвечать на поставленные вопросы.

T: Now I’m giving you 2-3 minutes to discuss all left issues. You should work quickly and be ready to protect the made projects.

P-s in groups introduce their projects: “School uniforms for different cases”.

VI. Подведение итогов.

1. Now our lesson is over. Do you have any questions? Your marks are…

2. Home task. You will make up a dialogue according to our theme: “In a bank”, “At a shopping centre” etc.

3. Reflexion. – Why is our topic so important?

• What is your best advice to people who want to become bank clients?

• What does it mean to be a good customer?

Etc.
