Welcome to the project «Modern life without gadgets today.»

It is simple impossible to imagine modern life without gadgets. Every house today is full of smart appliances, such washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, microwave, stereo system. These objects have drastically changed people’s lives .

They made it easier to cope with household chores. It seems that new technologies govern the lives of all people on planet. A couple of decades ago people had no idea what smartphones or iPhones are , while today nearly everyone has one. It is undoubtedly the best communication and entertainment devise. People can connect with each other everywhere they go through social network, text messaging , low-cost calls, chats rooms. It is hard to stay even a day without such handy gadgets .

As for me, my favourite gadget is a computer. Computer is one of the best inventions of the 20th century. It's hard to believe that one small screen with a keyboard can change everybody's life.

Today I'm literally dependent on it because there are many things computer can do for me. First of all, I try to stay in touch with my friends and English pen pals. In this case I use either e-mails or social networks, such as Facebook or Vkontakte. Social networks are even more convenient. There you can see whether your companion is online or not, you can also follow your friends' news. Messages are delivered instantly, so the answer should be quick. E-mails are also good, but you don't know how soon your friend will check the box, so the answer can take some time. 

Projects and essays are part of my home work. That's why I often use editing programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. . I also like keeping photos and music on my computer. Photos can be edited by a special program called Photoshop. It is rather handy, when someone wants to improve the quality of pictures or change the size. When I have free time I read e-books or play some games on computer.

Some people are against computers. Firstly, they thought that we can work without computers, because it breaks our eyesight. Secondly, we get a lot of unnecessary information, for example — a promotion. It  distracts when you are so busy.

But I do not agree with this people. To preserve the health, you should: firstly, ventilate the room; secondly, take a timeout. That you do not get useless information, you can change the computer tuner. All in all, I want to say that I am for computers. I believe that computers can materially do our work  easier and make people more educated.

Our future is in our hands.
