My mother

My name is Nika. I’m 12 years old. I have a small family. It consists of me, my mum and my father. We also keep some pets. They are a turtle, two parrots and the fishes. I love my family, because they are always there when I need them.

I especially love my mum. She is the only person who fully understands and supports me. My mum’s name is Elena. She is 35 years old. She works as a nurse at the city hospital. She likes her job very much and often works extra hours there. My mum is always fair and honest, which makes her a good friend. I know that when I have any difficulties, I can talk to her and ask for useful advice. She is also a very beautiful and stylish woman. She often buys nice clothes for herself and for me. Many people say that I take after her in terms of appearance. I’m glad that it’s so.

By character I’m more like my dad, which is also good. My mum always tells me that she loves me more than anyone else in the world and I know that it’s true. She is a very caring and thoughtful person. When I was a bit younger she used to punish me a couple of times for misbehaving at school, but now she doesn’t. She says that I’m old enough now to understand what’s right and what’s wrong. My mum is a very busy person and she rarely has free time. However, when she has, she likes baking delicious cakes and reading books or magazines for women.
