The theme of our lesson is “Countable and uncountable nouns”

Countable nouns are nouns we can count (an apple – apples)

Uncountable nouns are nouns we can’t count (milk – some milk)

Articles A/An – только перед исчисляемыми сущ. Единственного числа

Артикль А перед словами которые начинаются на согласный звук (a pen, a book)

An – перед словами которые начинаются на гласный звук (an orange, an oil)

Перед буквой “Hhможно поставить и А, An

Например в слове “hour” буква h глухая, поэтому ставим артикль an

Some (некоторые) – ставим если сущ. Во множественном числе или оно неисчисляемое в утвердительных предложениях.

Any – в отрицательных и в вопросительных предложениях

Many – исчисляемые

Much – неисчисляемые

Little – неисчисляемые (they’ve very little money)

Few – исчисляемые (I know few places that I could afford to pay such prices)
