Tutankhamun was someone who had a very interesting life. He was an Egyptian king.

Before 1922, people didn't know anything t about

Tutankhamun. Then, in 1 922, the archaeologist

Howard Carter found his body. Soon everybody knew about the new king.

Tutankhamun became king when he was eight years old, and he died when he was only eighteen. Nobody knows for sure how Tutankhamun died. Archaeologists used to think somebody had a killed him. However, they now believe he wasn't killed by anybody. He probably died because of an accident.

The ancient Egyptians buried Tutankhamun in a pyramid, There were many pyramids in Egypt, each built for someone important, like a king. The Egyptians believed people went to live somewhere. wonderful after they died. They put boots, jewellery, statues in the pyramid because they wanted the dead people to have everything they need in the world.
