TYPES OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
- REAL CONDITION( ԻՐԱԿԱՆ, ԻՐԱԳՈՐԾԵԼԻ ՊԱՅՄԱՆ)
- UNREAL CONDITION (ԱՆԻՐԱԿԱՆ ՊԱՅՄԱՆ )
REAL CONDITION( zero condition)
The present real conditional (also called conditional 0 ) is used to talk about what you normally do in real-life situations. Both "if" and "when" are used in the present real conditional.

- GENERAL TRUTHS
( BOTH CLAUSES ARE THE SIMPLE PRESENT )
E.g. WHEN PEOPLE SMOKE CIGARETTS, THEIR HEALTH SUFFERS.
REAL CONDITION(first condition)
- SITUATION IN WHICH THE OUTCOME IS LIKE TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE( BUT NOT GUARANTED)
IF-CLAUSE+SIMPLE PRESENT, MAIN CLAUSE-FUTURE
E.G If you rest , you will feel better.
UNREAL CONDITION( Second Condition)
Often called the "unreal" conditional because it is used for unreal impossible situations.
If-CLAUSE + Simple Past, MAIN CLAUSE + would + base verb
E.g. IF I WERE A WRITER , I WOULD WRITE FROM TIME TO TIME.
In conditional type 2, we usually use were " instead of " was " in the if clause " even if the pronoun is I , he , she or it .
Third Conditional
PRESENT SITUATION WOULD BE DIFFERENT IF SOMETHING DIFFERENT HAD HAPPENED IN THE PAST.
If-CLAUSE + Past Perfect, MAIN-CLAUSE- +would + have + Past Participle
E.g. If he had been careful, he wouldn't have had that terrible accident
WISH
- WE USE WISH IN UNREAL CONDITIONS TO EXPRESS REGRET OR WISH TO SAY WE WOULD LIKE THINGS TO BE DIFFERENT.
I WISH I KNEW FRENCH.
I WISH I WERE YOU.
