Тема: Types of Dwellings in Britain and the USA

Тип учебного занятия: урок-введение нового лексического материала.

Цель: формирование знаний - организация работы по усвоению ими понятий, лексики, предусмотренных учебной программой и требованиями к данному юниту.

Лексика по теме:annex, apartment, attic, bed sitter, boarding house, clapboard house, mud hut, condominium, cottage, duplex, frame house, high rise, prefabricated house, tenement, mobile home

Задачи:

1. практические: - тренировка навыков говорения и чтения; - практика учащихся в применении новой лексики, Обучать языковой догадке с опорой на визуальный ряд.

2. общеобразовательные: - Познакомить с лексикой по теме “ Types of Dwellings in Britain” и обеспечить ее активизацию в серии языковых и речевых упражнений, расширение общего кругозора.

3. воспитательные: - формирование навыков интеллектуального труда; - дальнейшее формирование интереса к предмету; - воспитание трудолюбия и активности, самостоятельности.

4. развивающие: - развитие языковой догадки; - развитие памяти, мышления, воображения; - развитие умения работать самостоятельно.

Оснащение урока: компьютер, доска, проектор

Ход урока

Организационный момент:

T: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you! How are you?
P: We’re glad to see you too, we are fine, thanks and how are you?
T: I’m fine too, thank you. Sit down, please. Today we’ll speak about types of dwellings in the UK and the USA, learn some new words.

Фонетическая разминка:
T: Well done! Look at the blackboard, please.

(На доске написаны слова с транскрипцией и переводом)

T: We are going to read the text so let’s read and translate the words you are going to meet while reading: annex, apartment, attic, bed sitter, boarding house, clapboard house, mud hut, condominium, cottage, duplex, frame house, high rise, prefabricated house, tenement, mobile home. Repeat after me.

(Чтение слов происходит по схеме: T – Class- P1- P2.)

Основная часть урока:

T: I’d like you to find these words in the text, read the sentence and try to translate it.

(Дети ищут слова в тексте. Читают предложение и его перевод. Слова отбирались таким образом, что бы облегчить понимание текста)

T: Now I hope you are ready to read the text. Be attentive, somebody will translate.

(Дети читают текст по цепочке (Р1-Р2-Р3…) и переводят).

T: We are going to work with the text, so let’s practice our word combinations. Match the English phrases with the Russian equivalents:

Отдельный дом- boarding house

Пансионат- historical interest
исторический интерес -separate house
жилой квартал- residential area
шикарный дом- tiled roof
соломенная крыша -low ceilings
низкие потолки- protection against the sun
защита от солнца- misunderstanding
непонимание- luxurious house
(Учащиеся зачитывают свои ответы, ошибки исправляются вместе, всем классом)
T.: Ok, let’s do some tasks. Complete the sentences.
