She requires Augustus to read it and in turn, he requires her to read the book that is the basis of his favorite video game. Hazel relates to the character in her favorite book, Anna, because Anna has a rare blood cancer. Augustus and Hazel bond over the book because both of them of a burning desire to find out how the story ends because the author stops the book before providing conclusion on what happens to each of the characters.

My opinion about the film From the moment the title sequence starts, I was hooked straight away. Scene to scene this movie just manages to lure me into this beautiful world of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters. Honestly, this is the best movie I have ever seen. I just thought this was going to be another teenager love story, but I was wrong. I loved this movie and recommend it to everyone across all ages. The acting was one of the best aspects of this movie. Seriously, it makes the two characters feel real and alive, and from time to time I forgot this was fiction and not based on a true story. Their performances were so heartfelt and definitely Oscar worthy, in my opinion. The acting was phenomenal, the direction, editing and cinematography was exceptional and overall, this movie is one of the best film that have ever touched the face of the Earth. I encourage EVERYONE to go see this movie no matter what age you are.
