План-конспект урока по теме «Дом, милый дом». (Unit 4)
1. Introduction.Введение
Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to meet you.
How are you?
What date is it today?
What day is it today?
What season is it?
What is the weather like today?
Who is absent today?
OK. Let´s start our lesson.
The theme [ˈθiːm] of our lesson is “Home, sweet home”.
Children, you can see my house on the blackboard. It’s a pity but some rooms haven’t been furnished yet. You are designers today. And I hope you’ll help me.
The aim of our lesson is to furnish the rooms and then try to sell the house. Today we are going to work all together.
2. Revision of the words on the theme.Повторение лексики по теме.
T.: Before furnishing our house let’s revise the words on the theme “Furniture”.
a. Auction of words. (дети называют слова по данной теме).
b. Riddles. Отгадайте слова по дефиниции.
The next task is to listen to the definitions of the words and try to guess them..
1. We sleep on it. (bed, sofa, armchair)
We sleep in it. (bedroom)
It’s a piece of furniture we sit on.(chair, armchair, sofa)
It has trees, grass, flowers. What is it? (garden)
It’s a place where we keep our cars.(garage)
It’s a place where our dogs and cats often sleep.(hall)
It’s a room where we watch television. (living-room)
It’s my house and my family. (home)
It’s a piece of furniture where we keep books. (bookcase)
I can play different games on it, listen to music, watch films. (computer)
It makes our room light. (window)
We cook breakfast, dinner in it. (kitchen)
It shows time. (clock, watch)
We take a shower in it (bathroom)

3. Pre-listening activities. (до прослушивания)
T.: Welcome to my house. It’s my kitchen. It’s rather [ʹrɑ:ðə] cosy, isn’t it? It’s my favorite place at home, because I like cooking.

- And what’s your favorite place at home? (My favorite place at home is…)
- Do you have the room of your own? (Yes, I have. I have a room of my own.)
- What do you have in it? (I have a …, …, … in it)
Can you name Russian proverbs about home? Russian proverbs: Всякий дом хозяином держится. Дома и солома съедома. Без хозяина дом сирота. Дом вести не бородой трясти. Не дом хозяина красит, а хозяин – дом. Дома стены помогают. В гостях хорошо, а дома лучше. Хозяин в дому, что медведь в бору: хозяюшка в дому, что оладушек в меду и т.д. (найдено около 60 пословиц)
And I can name English proverbs about home.
English proverbs: There’s no place like home. East or West home is best. My house is my castle. It is an ill bird that fouls [faʋlz] its own nest.
T.: What is home for you, children?
P1: My home is Mummy, Daddy and our cat. My favorite place at home is my room. I like playing computer games. In the evening we watch television. I love my home.
P2: My home is my family. I have a mother, a father…… My home is not very big, but very nice. I have a room of my own. I’ve got a lot of good books. I love my home and my family very much.
P3: My home is my mummy, granny and dad. My home is my toys, my hobbies, my life. My home is light and cosy. My home is the best for me.
P4: My home is my mother, father, brother and our dog. My home is big and comfortable. I love my home.
4. While listening activities. (Ex.1 p.110) ( время прослушивания)
T.: Come into my living-room. As you can see there is no furniture in it. Listen to the description of the room and put everything on its place.
5. Follow-up activities (после прослушивания)
Number 1 is a sofa. №2 – an armchair, 3 – a television, 4 – a table and four chairs, 5 – a cupboard, 6 – a desk, a computer, 7 – a piano
T.: Let’s describe the room. (описание комнаты по цепочке)

6. Grammar Review (повторение предлогов места: on, in, under, behind, in front of, on the left, on the right, next to, in the middle of)
T.: Let’s go upstairs. It’s the children’s room. Oh, … what a messy room! There are mice everywhere. Let’s find them and take them away.
P1: One mouse is on the bed.
T.: Right you are. Take it away.
P2: Two mice are under the table.
T.: Quite so. Take them away. etc.
- But the room is messy. Let’s clean up. Stand up, children, and let’s sing together.
7. Relaxation pause. Физкультминутка

Sit down. Now the children’s room is tidy Let’s continue our lesson

9. Making of an advertisement. Реклама.
T.: My house is nice and cosy now. Thank you for your help. And here is the next task for you. Make an advertisement and try to sell my house.

Welcome to our house! It is not very big but very nice. It has big windows and cosy rooms. It has a living room, a kitchen and a hall downstairs. You can see two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The big garage is on the right. You can see nice garden with apple-trees, beautiful flowers and green grass near the house. Our house is the best for you!
