The theme of the lesson. Pupils get a slip of paper and try to find their classmates with the same number.

Pupils listen to number song (track 19 CD1)

Pupils’ books closed. Teacher puts up the flashcards and says the corresponding words. Then pupils repeat. The teacher points to each flashcard in random order and asks pupils to say the word. Pupils’ books open. They listen to the CD and point to the pictures and repeat them. Pupils colour the school objects. Then the teacher calls out an item and asks pupils to point to it and say what colour it is .The teacher pick up a pencil and a pen, point to them and say: Get your pencil! Get your pen! Pupils repeat. Pupils listen to the Get your pencil song (track 22.CD1), sing a song and hold up the items they heard The teacher sets the scene by asking questions about what they can see in the pictures

Cl: It’s a rubber

T: Yes! And what’s this?

Cl: It’s a book

Pupils listen to track 23 CD1. Pupils repeat. The teacher says the dialogue. Then repeats, inviting pupils to complete the sentences.
