Цели урока:

1. Обучающая – развитие основных умений речевой деятельности (аудирование, чтение, говорение)

2. Воспитательная – формирование у учащихся уважения и интереса к стране изучаемого языка.

3. Развивающая – развитие языковых, интеллектуальных и познавательных способностей учащихся, развитие эмоциональной сферы.

Задачи урока:

1. Развивать логичность высказывания.

2. Проверить умения извлекать необходимую информацию из текста.

3. Проверить понимания текста на слух.

4. Проверить усвоение пройденных лексических единиц.

Форма урока:

Урок – путешествие.

Оснащение урока:

1. Карта Лондона.

2. Постеры с видами Лондона.

3. Карточки с заданиями.

4. Картинки с изображениями видов транспорта.

Ход урока

1. Приветствие. Организационный момент.

Good morning, dear teachers, boy and girls! Welcome, our dear guests! Glad to see you!

Today we have an unusual lesson, lesson – trip.

Some people can’t imagine their life without traveling. Now it’s possible to visit many countries and meet people of all nations. There are different aims of traveling. Some people travel on business, the others for pleasure. There are many tourist agencies, which offer different tours in different countries.

2. Актуализация знаний.

Recently I found a booklet of one tourist agency. Name of this agency is “Around the world”. There it is. This agency offers us an absorbing trip to London. Listen to this information.

Welcome to London, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Our agency offers a tour. There are many places of interest in the city.

You will see Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, Natural History Museum, Big Ben, the Tower, London Bridge, London Eye and Westminster Abby. It will be very interesting, absorbing, magnificent trip to London.

Are you ready for this traveling? (учитель)

Yes, we are ready! (учащиеся)

But before we start our traveling we must decide how we get to London? Let’s remember different types of transport! I will show your different types of transport and you will show the cards with these words and then call it.

Учащиеся демонстрируют карточки со словами и называют тот вид транспорта, который показывает учитель.

And now say me what transport do you prefer or how do you like to travel? (учитель)

4. Введение знаний

4.1. Презентация проектов.

Let’s start with sightseeing on a double – decker bus. Make yourself comfortable, please.

We start from the Natural History Museum. Our tourist agency offers us a guide.

Один ученик выступает с докладом о Natural History Museum, другие ученики задают ему вопросы.

Thank your, Julia. It was very interesting. But, unfortunately, we must continue our trip.

4.2. Развитие навыков чтения.

We are in the center of London where there is much sightseeing, Trafalgar Square and a monument to Admiral Nelson, Parliament Square with towers, Westminster Abby and Big Ben.

Unfortunately, our tourist agency didn’t place at our disposal the guide. But I have some information for you.

I will read this information and then you will read it one after another and do the task to this text.

6.Введение знаний. Развитие навыков аудирования.

Our trip prolongs. We are passing past The London Eye, The Globe. And now we are crossing London Bridge. From here you can see the Tower of London.

Listen to the information about the Tower of London very attentively and do the test to this text. You must find the correct word to each sentence and check it off.

Our bus tour has finished. And our agency “Around the world” offers us the map of London as a present. Today, my dear boy and girls, you have learned a lot. Let’s check your knowledge. Please, match all places of London on the map. Write it!

Natural History Museum

Dear tourists, I am Julia. I am your guide. We are in the Natural History Museum. It’s a world of dinosaurs. You can see the best collection of dinosaurs in the world in it. You will listen to dinosaur stories and find different information about them. This museum organizes sleepovers. The Natural History Museum is very interesting and very popular museum for tourists in London.

Questions:

1. What is a sleepover?

2. What do children do in this museum?

3. Where do the children sleep

Answers:

1. A sleepover is a night excursion.

2. They make costumes and masks. And then witches, ghosts and monsters play with them.

3. Children sleep in their sleeping bag.

The Tower of London

The Tower of London was a fortress, a palace and King’s Zoo. Now it’s museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the halls of the White Tower. Its square walls are white and very tall.

The Tower of London was built by William of Conqueror. There are always black ravens in the Tower of London. People keep them in the Tower of London and look after them very well as they believe that London will be rich while ravens live there.

Trafalgar Square.Parliament Square. Big Ben.Westminster Abbеy.

The center of London is Trafalgar Square. It is the most beautiful place in London. One can see a statue of Lord Nelson in the middle of this square. Four bronze lions look at the square from the monument.

Near this square there is Parliament Square with Big Ben. It’s name of the clock and the bell. The clock and the bell got theirs names after Sir Benjamin Hall.

On the other side of Parliament Square is Westminster Abby. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London.
