«LONDON ZOO»

Задачи:

- Активизация лексического материала по теме «Животные».

- Развитие навыков аудирования.

- Формирование навыков устной монологической и диалогической речи по темам «Вымирающие животные», «Особенности лондонского зоопарка».

- Повторение структуры вопросительного предложения с глаголом «CAN»/

- Расширение кругозора учащихся информацией об истории создания Лондонского зоопарка.

- Воспитание у учащихся бережного отношения к животным и окружающей среде.

- Привитие учащимся интереса к животному миру.

Оснащение урока:

Компьютер, медиапроектор, интерактивная доска, презентация и видео по теме урока.

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning dear boys and girls. Glad to see you. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson.

1. Определение темы урока.

Answer my question, please “Do you like travelling?”

I think that everybody likes travelling. Today I suggest you to visit one of the most interesting attraction of London. How do you think what is it?

Is it Hyde Park? – No, it isn’t.

Is it…? –No, it isn’t.

Now it’s time to say some words about the place we are going to visit. Look at the screen. There are two secret words. Read the 1^st sentence and say what it is. Read the 2^nd sentence. So, what place are we going to visit?

Is it London Zoo? – Yes, it is. We are going to visit London Zoo.

1. Сообщение проблемного вопроса урока.

The British say that London Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world. After the excursion be ready to answer to this question, “Is London Zoo one of the best zoos in the world?” (Слайд 5)

1. Активизация лексики по теме.

For entering the zoo you need a ticket. Name an animal and get your ticket.

Каждый ученик называет животное и получает билет в зоопарк.

Excellent! Everybody has got a ticket.

1. Знакомство с правилами поведения в зоопарке.

Every zoo has rules for visitors. Everybody has got a card with rules. Read the 1^st rule. Look at the screen (слайд 6) and name the number of the picture.

(Учащиеся сопоставляют изображенные на слайде картинки с правилами поведения в зоопарке)

Now you know the rules for visitors of London Zoo and can read different signs.

1. Повторение вопросительных предложений с глаголом «CAN». Работа в группе.

Every zoo has a zookeeper. (Слайд 7) Our zookeeper gets a lot of letters with different questions. Let’s help him. Every group has got a card. Put the words into the right order and make up the question. And then get ready to answer the question.

1. Развитие навыков чтения. Знакомство с историей Лондонского зоопарка.

Now it’s time to speak about the history of London Zoo. Open your books at page 106. Look at the exercise 10. Look at the screen. You can see different pictures here. You should find the right sentence in the text to describe these pictures. (Слайды 8-11)

1. Развитие навыков устной монологической речи. Контроль домашнего задания – сообщение об одном из вымирающих животных, которое можно встретить в Лондонском зоопарке.

London Zoo is the world’s oldest scientific zoo. It has a large collection of animals, birds, insects and even reptiles. Some of them are very rare. Scientists try to save them. Let’s speak about endangered animals. (Слайды 12-15).

1. Развитие навыков аудирования.

Let’s watch a video. Be ready to answer the questions:

• What kind of animals can you see at the zoo?

• Are there any big animals at he zoo?

• Can visitors of the zoo see the animals at feeding time?

• What do you know about The Zoological Society of London?

London Zoo is an unusual zoo. Animals do not live in cages there. Every kind lives in a special house. We can see the reptile house, the butterfly paradise, the bird house. (Слайды 16-19) Scientists try to save endangered animals. It is a very interesting place.

1. Подведение итогов урока.

Tell me what animals did you see in London Zoo?

Учащиеся отвечают на вопрос, использую фразу: I saw…

It’s time to answer the main question about our lesson: “Is London zoo one of the best zoos in the world? Why”?

An animal is a living thing not a toy. It depends on people. We should save the natural world. Be kind to animals, be kind to natural world.

1. Домашнее задание. (Дифференцированное)

Каждый ученик получает лист с заданием. На листе представлены 4 картинки. К первой дается текст-образец описания животного. На выбор одно из заданий, которое учащийся считает, что сможет выполнить.

1) Описать вторую картинку по образцу с помощью ключевых слов, представленных к картинке.

2) Описать третью картинку по образцу. Ключевые слова не представлены.

3) Описать четвертую картинку в свободной форме.
