Цели:

1. Развитие умения использовать иностранный язык в разнообразных ситуациях межкультурного общения

2. Развитие творческой самостоятельности

3. Отработка изученного лексического материала и обогащение вокабуляра

4. Формирование потребности и способности к сотрудничеству

5. Контроль сформированности навыков и умений

Урок проводится в форме игры. Класс делится на две команды. Каждой команде предлагается выполнить следующие задания.

1. Task «Antonyms, Synonyms»/ Задание «Синонимы, антонимы»

For the words given on the left find some synonyms and antonyms./ Подберите синонимы и антонимы к следующим словам.

Weak, tall, ugly, wet, sad, messy, young, dark, dirty, little, slow, cold, bad, fat.

2. Task «Proverbs»/ Задание «Пословицы»

Find for the proverbs their Russian equivalents./ Каждой пословице подберите русский эквивалент.

1. Like father, like son.

2. An apple a day keeps a doctor away.

3. Two heads are better than one.

4. There is no smoke without fire.

5. Better late than never.

6. Birds of a feather flock together.

7. East or West, home is best.

8. The appetite comes with eating.

9. All cats are grey at night.

10. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

11. It is never too late to learn.

12. Men learn while they teach.

13. Home, sweet home.

14. Practice makes perfect.

15. Look before you leap.

16. Actions speak louder than words.

3. Task «Compound words»/ Задание «Составные слова»

Match the two columns to make as many words as you can./Составьте сложные слова.

4.  Task «Polyglot» / Задание «Полиглот»

Guess the words./Угадайте слова по их определению.

5. Подведение итогов урока-игры, подсчет баллов команд, награждение победителей.
