Welcome to a travel agency. I recommend you to visit London.
Слайд 5. London is the capital of Great Britain. It is a very old city. It is two thousand years old. It is a centre for business and for tourism. There are a lot of interesting sights in London.

This Palace is neither very old nor very beautiful. It is a Royal Residence. It is the official home of Queen Elizabeth and her family.
Слайд 7. There are about 10 thousand streets in London. The Downing Street is one of the best-known Streets in London. It is the official Residence of Prime Minister.

In Beloretsk there is a large metal-producing plant. I think our town is a very good place for a rest. Because of the clean, unpolluted air in the mountains, many tourists visit our town. Here you can fish, climb the mountains.

Слайд 3.Bashkortostan is an independent state within the Russian Federation. The independent Republic of Bashkortostan was created on the 11Th of October, 1990. The head of the State in the Republic and its highest official is the President Murtaza G. Rakhimov.
Слайд 4. The Republic of Bashkortostan has 21 cities. The largest are Sterlitamak, Salavat, Neftekamsk. Ufa is the capital of Bashkortostan. It was founded in 1574. Ufa has a population of 1,1 million people.
Слайд 5.Geography. Geographical features including high mountains, rich forests, large steppes, and more than 800 lakes, all give Bashkortostan a natural beauty. There are more than 600 rivers in the Republic, the longest of which is the Aghidel. Many of the rivers in Bashkortostan flow directly into the Caspian Sea.
Слайд 6.The famous Kapova Cave is called the « singing cave» because of the sound made by drops of water falling from the stalactites (mineral deposits formed in caves by dripping water) which creates a musical, tapping sound. Ancient people used to search for shelter within the cave, build fires there and make drawings on the walls of the cave.
Слайд 7. Agriculture. The rich soil of Bashkortostan makes for excellent farming. Grain crops such as rye, wheat, barley, oats, maize, millet and buckwheat are grown, as are sugar beet and sunflowers. Vegetables are also cultivated and these include potatoes, cabbages, onions, carrots, melons, pumpkins, cucumbers, red beets, Swedes, radishes.
Cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry are also raised throughout the republic.
