Открытый урок в 7а классе на тему:

«Russia, My Homeland» («Россия – моя Родина»)


Урок подготовила: учитель английского языка Яндыганова А.В.

Цель урока: формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на основе изученных лексических единиц, речевых и грамматических структур по страноведческой тематике.

Задачи урока: 1 . воспитание любви к родной стране;

2. развитие познавательной активности учащихся;

3. привитие интереса к английскому языку;

4. развитие внимания, мышления, памяти учащихся, развитие патриотических качеств личности школьника.

Планируемые результаты: Предметные: обеспечить введение лексического и грамматического материала по теме, создать условия для применения знаний, , оперировать активной лексикой в процессе общения. Личностные: проявлять познавательный интерес  к учению. Коммуникативные: формировать умения слушать и вступать в диалог, отвечать на вопросы. Познавательные: уметь строить речевое высказывание по образцу, формулировать ответы на вопросы учителя и одноклассников. Регулятивные: оценивать правильность выполнения действий, планировать свои действия в соответствии с поставленной целью.

Тип урока: урок закрепления знаний, комбинированный

Формы и методы обучения: фронтальная, индивидуальная, парная, групповая.

Оборудование: ноутбук, проектор, видео, экран, карточки, тетрадь



Ход урока.

1. Начало урока. Организационный момент (2 мин):

Учитель приветствует учеников, задает организационные вопросы:

Teacher: Good morning, cadets. I am glad to see you.

Pupils: Good morning teacher!

Teacher: Take your sits. How are you getting on?

Pupils: I’m fine, OK, so-so, thank you.

Teacher: I see you are fine and we can start our lesson.

2. Подготовка к основному этапу урока.

Teacher: Please look at the screen. There are some English proverbs. Find Russian equivalents.

1 To live is to serve the Motherland.

Человек без родины — что соловей без песни.

2 A man without a Motherland is like a Nightingale without a song.

- He спрашивай, что твоя Родина может сделать для тебя, спроси себя, что ты можешь сделать для своей Родины.


3 Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

- Жить - Родине служить




Teacher How do you think. What is the theme of our lesson?

The theme of our lesson is «Russia. My Homeland».

Pupils: I suppose, think,..we will speak about Russia.

Teacher: We are going to repeat the words, to talk about different places of interest in Russia. ( Записать число, тему урока, эпиграф)

P4: We call Russia a multinational country because people of different ethnic groups live there.

Teacher: What can you say about size and geographical position of our country?

3. We are proud of Russian people.

Task V:Look at the portraits of the famous Russian people and say what you can about them. 

To know a country means to know its people. When foreign guests leave Russia, practically everybody says that Russian people are wonderful. They are open, kind and very hospitable. . Russia is famous for its talented and unique poets, writers, artists and musicians.
































M.V. Lomonosov (1711 -1765)

was born inthe Kholmogory settlement near the city of Arkhangelsk

~ father was a seaman 

~ started to study at the age of 19 

~ became the first Russian Academician at the age of 33

~ founded Moscow University in 1755

~ a great scientist

 ~ made a lot of discoveries in different   fields of science 

  ~ a monument to M.Lomonosov is in  Moscow


Y.A.Gagarin (1934 -1968) 

     ~ was born in a small village near the city of         Smolensk 

      ~ was interested in planes,   spaceships, rockets

     ~ became the first world cosmonaut   at the age of 27

      ~ flew into space on the 12th of April,  1961 on board the spaceship                  "Vostok"                                      

    ~ the monument to Y. Gagarin is in   Moscow in Gagarin Square

4.Интересные города России.

T: Well, Russia is a wonderful country. It has always been a country of mystery and attraction for foreigners. Winston Churchill once said that Russia "is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma".

T: Now you will have a chance to demonstrate that we are really friendly and hospitable. Today we are waiting for a foreign guest. Let’s meet our guest according to the old Russian tradition with bread and salt. They are symbols of hospitality.

Guest: Hello, boys and girls! My name is Mark.

Гость рассказывает о себе.

G.: Now let me introduce myself. I come from England. I am a student. I am fond of history and languages. I took an interest in your country, in its history, traditions and customs, in its people. Recently I am very interested in everything here.

T: I think you are just in time. We are talking about Russia today and you should join our chat.

G.: Thank you. May I ask some questions then?

T: Certainly.

6 : Please, look at the photos and say who monuments are to.

Гость показывает фотографии памятников, отснятые им во время пребывания в Москве, и просит учащихся помочь подписать их.

P1: This is a monument to Lomonosov. It is situated in front of Moscow University. ( )

P3: And this is a monument to Yuri Dolgoruky, the founder of Moscow. It is situated opposite the Mossovet building.

Р 4. And this is a monument to Юрий Никулин. He is a famous soviet circus performer? Clown, Circus director.

b) Usually tourists buy such traditional Russian souvenirs as beautifully painted mugs, plates and spoons from the village of Khokhloma, Palekh boxes and Matryoshka dolls. Matryoshka is a symbol of Russian folk art. it has always been the most favourite Russian souvenir. But Russian Matryoshka is not only a toy with surprise or just souvenir. It is a symbol of motherhood, family and unity.

5.Контроль домашнего задания – отчет о работе над проектом «Добро пожаловать в Россию!» 3 группы представляют проект и оценивают друг друга.

Some pupils of our group have been working on a project “Welcome to Russia!” for some weeks. Now they are ready to introduce their first results. Presentation “What do foreigners imagine when they think of Russia?”

T: Here is a special task for you, P1. You can find all the instructions in this card. Please, get ready.

G.: Thank you for your help.

T: Are there any questions to our guest?

P1: Did you enjoy your staying in Moscow?

G.: Certainly, I did. Moscow is a remarkable city. It is the city of contrasts: so friendly and gentle in many ways, yet in other ways, quite proud and powerful.

P2: What other cities are you going to visit during your trip?

G.: I would like to visit a lot of different cities and towns. But I’m afraid I have little time.



T: And I suggest you to go for an exciting journey just now. Let’s watch a video clip about one of the Russian cities. Try to guess what city it is about.
