II. 1. Look at the screen and listen to the information about places of interest in Washington D.C.
2. What places of interest in Washington D.C. do you know?
3. Look at screen and listen to the information about the White House. What can say about it?
III. 1. Washington D.C. is closely connected with all American Presidents, because Washington D.C. was build for the government.
Now look at the screen again and listen to the information about several Presidents and about events which took place at that time. We’ll listen to topic twice and retell them.

Употребление Past Simple
Обозначает действие, произошедшее в прошлом; последовательно произошедшие в прошлом действия; повторяющиеся действия в прошлом.
Образование
Past Indefinite правильных глаголов образуется прибавлением суффикса -ed к основе глагола. Форме Past Indefinite неправильных глаголов соответствует II форма глагола в соответствующих глагольных рядах, приводимых в специальных таблицах (см. таблицы неправильных глаголов).
