Урок – праздник «Halloween»
Главные цели :
Развитие речевых навыков и творческих способностей учащихся.
Формирование социокультурной компетенции учащихся.
Стимулирование интереса к исследованию конкретных тем.
Текстовая основа и речевые клише расширяют словарный запас учащихся и дают образцы культуры устного общения.
Организация и проведение:
Урок проводится в несколько этапов: подготовительный, репетиции и собственно проведение. Учитывая особенности формы урока праздника можно дать специальное задание учащимся найти дополнительные материалы, которые потом использовать в ходе проведения урока праздника.
Учитель помогает учащимся подготовить свою роль. В дальнейшем проигрываются небольшие сцены как репетиции и наконец, праздник прослушивается полностью.
План и проведение урока:
The History of Halloween
1. Halloween was born among the Celtic peoples long before the birth of Christ.
These peoples celebrated the end of summer. They made sacrifices to their god Samana. He was “the lord of death and evil spirits”.
2. Halloween doesn’t worship Jesus Christ. It glorified Devil.
3. On the 31st of October the ancient Celts burned animals and a part of the crop in honour of their death god Samana. The Druids believed that on that day Samana collects sinful souls. So he sends evil spirits to attack people.
The only way to avoid their attacks is to dress up in horrible costumes so as they don’t see you.
4. However nowadays Halloween is a funny holiday for children. The children play a special game at Halloween “Trick of Treat”. They dress up as ghosts, witches, clowns or pirates and visit their neighbours.
“Trick or Treat!” they cry. People must give them a treat: some fruit, sweets or chocolate. When there is no treat, the children play a trick on them and run away. Sometimes they come back again, knock at the door and run away. It’s all good fun and the evening ends with parties for children.
5. On that day children like to recite different rhymes, because it is fun.
Let’s listen to these rhymes!
1) The sky is blue, the sky is green,
Have you got a penny for Halloween?

3) How to meet a Witch
First, put your clothes on inside out.

Give us candy, give us cake.
Give us something sweet to take.
Give us cookies, fruit and gum,
Hurry up and give us some.
You had better do it quick
Or we’ll surely play a trick.

5) Five little pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,
The first one said:”Oh, my! It’s getting late!”
The second one said: “There are witches in the air!”
The third one said: “ But we don’t care!”
The fourth one said: “Let’s run and run, and run!”
The fifth one said: “I’m ready for some fun!”
Ooooo! – went the wind and out went the light
And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
6) Three black cats
Three black cats, three black cats,
In black hats, in black hats,
They all jumped into the Halloween brew.
They teased the ghosts and the goblins too!

7) It’s Halloween
It’s Halloween! It’s Halloween!
The Moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can’t be seen
On any other night:
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls,
Grinning goblins fighting duels,
Werewolves rising from their tombs,
Witches on their magic brooms.
In masks and gouns we haunt the street
And knock on door for trick or treat.
Tonight we are the king and queen,
For oh tonight it’s Halloween!
The most exciting of all are the Halloween songs.
Only very talented children can sing them.
