Exercise 12
Steps:
Using the Star Shapes tool, which can be found under the basic shapes menu, draw a 24 point Star and colour it in yellow.
Using the Ellipse and Ctrl key, draw a circle that is approximately 5” in diameter. Place the circle in the center of the star and colour it in red.
While clicked on the circle you just created, go to the Arrange menu and select Transformations and Scale. Adjust the Horizontal (H) and Vertical (V) scales to 95% and select Apply to Duplicate. Colour this circle in yellow.
While clicked on the second circle, click on Apply to Duplicate to create the third circle and colour it in green.
While clicked on the third circle, adjust the H and V scale to 80% and Apply to Duplicate. There is no need to change the colour of this circle, as it will be deleted later.
While clicked on the fourth circle, click on Apply to Duplicate to create the fifth circle and colour it in yellow.
Using the Text tool (A), type the words WILDLIFE and SAMPLER, using Arial Black font size 50, as two individual words.
While clicked on the word WILDLIFE, go up to the Text menu and select Fit Text to Path and click on the outline of the 4th circle at the top. Then select for the vertical placement.
While clicked on the word SAMPLER, go up to the Text menu and select Fit Text to Path and click on the outline of the 5th circle at the top. Click Place on the Other Side, and then select the correct text placement and vertical placement as shown below.
Click on the outline of the 4th circle and delete it.
Using Clip Art, import a picture of a wild animal (your choice) from the following folder;
I drive/Clipart/Draw 10/Collection/Animals/Wild and place in the center circle.
Once complete, group all objects together and save as Exercise 12 in your Corel Draw folder.
