MERRY CHRISTMAS Form 4
Цели:
- расширить социокультурную компетенцию учащихся (празднование Рождества в
Великобритании );
- развивать коммуникативные навыки, диалогическую и монологическую речь;
- совершенствовать навыки аудирования , чтения и говорения;
- закрепить выученную лексику (названия комнат).
Воспитательные задачи:
- воспитание толерантности ;
- учить взаимоуважению, поддержке, выручке;
- развивать чувство коллективизма.
Оснащение: карточки, иллюстрирующие лексику урока, видеоматериал к мультимедий-
ной доске, таблички с названиями команд, тексты для чтения, английские куби -
ки, лото, Санта Клаус, бонусы, рождественский носочек с подарками.
PROCEDURE
I Introduction.
1. Greeting. Explaining the aim of the lesson.
2. Warming-up. Cards-words: Christmas, Santa Claus, Father Frost, New Year, Christmas
Tree, New Year tree, snowman, present, stocking, decoration, Christmas Day,
Christmas Eve. , bells.
T. : Children, let’s sing the song “Jingle, Bells!”
II Christmas competition.
T.: Could you tell me who is good in English in your form? Who is the best pupils at the English lessons ? ( Ps name three pupils. They will be the captains of three teams: “Snowflakes”, “Icicles” and “Snowballs”. Every captain chooses his/her team.) All pupils are divided into three groups.
Visiting Santa Claus.
T.: Children! Do you know where Santa Claus lives? Do you want to see ? Than let’s visit Santa Claus ! ( Teacher shows the pictures of winter scenery, Santa Claus’ house on the multimedia-blackboard and ask pupils to name all kinds of the rooms they watch.
Watching the pictures of winter pupils speak why they like or dislike winter )
Task 1. Answer the questions:
- Does Santa Claus live in a house or in a flat ?
- Is his house big or little?
- Is there a garden near the house?
- How many bedrooms are there in the house ?
- Is there a dining room ? Is it upstairs or downstairs ?
- What does Santa Claus like to do ? What is his hobby ?
( Pupils get one point for every right answer )
2. Let’s play blocks!
Task 2. ( for every team ) Make up the word means one of the rooms in Santa Claus’ house . Who will be the first ?
