Introduction
Проблема: вегетарианство – это правильная жизненная позиция, которая ведет к долголетию или дань моде, которая чревата негативными последствиями?
Цель проекта: исследовать воздействие вегетарианства на физическое и нравственное здоровье человека.
Гипотеза исследования: Вегетарианство положительно влияет на физическое, умственное и нравственное развитие человека.
Задачи:
1. Проанализировать преимущества и недостатки вегетарианства.
2. Проконсультироваться с диетологом Британского Вегетарианского 2
Общества о целесообразности вегетарианской диеты.
3. Проанализировать влияние вегетарианства на свой организм.
4. Провести тестирование учащихся школы № 5 и узнать их отношение
к питанию.
5. Представить в виде графика количество вегетарианцев в странах
мира.
6. Привести доказательства, что вегетарианство – это путь к
физическому, умственному и нравственному совершенству
человека.
7. Научить учащихся высчитывать BMI и дневную норму калорий
индивидуально для каждого.
8. Обобщить данные о вегетарианстве и оформить всю собранную
информацию в виде проекта и компьютерной презентации.
Предлагаемые результаты:
Оценить свое питание.
Доказать, что вегетарианское питание – это правильный путь, чтобы быть здоровым и дожить до старости.
Ознакомить с преимуществами вегетарианства.
Научить людей высчитывать дневную норму калорий
индивидуально для каждого человека и узнавать по формуле,
предложенной Глинном Оливером, индекс массы тела.
Провести пропаганду здорового питания.
Методы исследования
Теоретические методы:
1. Анализ и синтез материалов и источников информации.
2. Обобщение полученной информации.
Эмпирические методы:
1. Анкетирование с целью выявления популярных продуктов питания среди учеников МБОУ СОШ №5
2. Сравнение теоретического и экспериментального исследований.
Практическая значимость данной работы определяется тем, что результаты этой работы могут быть использованы на уроке английского языка. Вся информация представлена с целью дать возможность человеку задуматься о своем питании, пересмотреть его и улучшить свое здоровье.
Vegetarianism is an actual topic for discussion. There are one billion vegetarians in the world. If vegetarianism was adopted by 2050, it would stave off about 7 million deaths per year. Today vegetarianism is trendy- 25% of people even think it is “cool”.
In 1847, England founded the Vegetarian Society that had around 800 members. The members believe that the term “vegetarian”, came from the Latin word “vegetus” which mean fresh and lively. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term came from the word “vegetable”. Vegetarianism isn’t a fad, it’s a life option. I believe that this option is very advantageous for a person. As a vegetarian, I’m glad that animals wouldn’t be killed

for my pleasure. Many people insist that eating animals is “natural”- and there for morally neutral - because other animals eat animals. But it is important to realize that, with a few exceptions, when human kill other animals for food, we’re not doing what animals do in nature.
Humans have no biological need to consume meat or any animal products. When animals kill other animals for food, they do as they must survive; they have no choice in the matter.
Many humans have a choice, it is a vegetarian diet. But people continue eating animals anyway, simply because they like the taste. They harm animals for pleasure.

Chapter 1. God created people to be vegetarians.
In The Comparative Anatomy of Eating, Milton R. Mills, explores the difference between the digestive systems of pure herbivores, pure carnivores, and natural omnivores. Based on features of dentition and digestion, Dr. Mills concludes that a man is a biologically a committed herbivore. It means God created people as vegetarians.
Scientists show that meat eaters are three times more likely to develop heart disease, colon or breast cancer than vegetarians.
In fact, vegetarians live 609 years longer, which is a huge effect. They are also more likely to exercise, smoke less and drink less alcohol – all factors that contribute to a longer life

There are 9 “essential” amino acids. They are called “essential” because our bodies can’t produce them. They are the building blocks of protein, which is a very important element for nearly all physical functions.
Animal proteins are considered “complete proteins” because they contain all of the essential amino acids.
The opinion about the absence of a complete set of essential amino acids in vegetarian nutrition is one of the most common misconceptions.
A vegetarian can get valine (mushrooms, soya), leucine (rice, lentils, nuts), lysine (nuts, wheat), phenylalanine (dairy products), threonine ( beans, nuts), methionine (beans, soya, lentils), isoleucine (peas, sunflower seeds), tryptophan ( bananas, dates), lysine (nuts, wheat), histidine (peanut, soya beans).

Chapter 2. My experience and researches.
In my opinion you are what you eat. I think any food is food for the whole organism. It is very important to choose the right food nowadays.
Healthy food begins from the healthy products. I prefer to eat only healthy food because I don’t want to get ill or get fat. I support the vegetarians. I have read that they live 6 years longer. I am a vegan. When I became a vegetarian, my worldview changed. Vegetarian is a parallel Universe where 380 million people live. I never eat animals, fish and birds because they are my friends. When I see ham, I imagine a pig with a cute face and a kind heart. All animals are my friends and I really cannot eat friends.

On the whole, studies suggest that vegetarian diets can lower cholesterol levels by between 10-35%. Since cholesterol comes only from animal food, vegan dietsare, by definition, cholesterol-free. I had high cholesterol last year. It was dangerous for my health. Now I am a vegetarian and my HDL is normal.

Now look at my results, please. When I was a meat eater, I had a “4” on PE (2016-2017)
When I became a vegetarian, my results improved. (2018-1019)
Vegetarians are not weak, they are strong and active.
Vegetarians are more intelligent than meat eaters. Vegetarians have the mean childhood IQ of 108. Meat eaters have the mean childhood IQ of 100.7 The difference is large and highly statistically significant.

Conclusion: Vegetarianism has a beneficial effect on a human body and soul. It is the best way to the mental, moral and physical perfection. It can be the key to a long life.
Personally, I think that every person must think about their life and make the right decisions. The health of a person is the main value in their life. There is no price for it. Being sick, you cannot realize all your dreams and be successful in the modern world.
Vegetarianism cleaned my mind, I feel more on the ball in every aspect. Not that this has anything to do with intelligence, but I get up earlier, sleep better, I read more and run more. I feel stronger every day, and my conscience is clear.
People, stop killing animals, please! Live in harmony with Nature. If you want to be healthy, eat vegetarian food. Remember that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian too, he loved all God’s creatures and we should be against blood, violence and wars.
You are what you eat.
